A thought for the purpose of understanding through debate (JudgementFree dialogue, please):
Why do we find it unsettling when we ponder over the possibility that AI may make most human work (mostly jobs) redundant?
Technology is only a recent event if we consider the entire human history as we know it. Surely Technology has been an inflection point but does it mean when AI does evolve into ‘that’ (AGI and more) we, as humans, will once again live like we did prior to the advent of Science & Technology?
The Question is: what will Society and Life be like?
If most jobs won’t require human involvement, will it render materialistic competition moot?
With jobs no longer being the point of life for most of the population, thereby no earnings happening, how will then businesses survive with no customers and not much utility for their businesses?
With jobs not being the mainstream norm, will social and family lives improve? Will parents be able to spend more time with their families and raise families better?
Will evolved AI technology radically alter human life such that humans are able to live as they want and technology makes it possible for humans to do so?
