I am a walking, talking fanfic cliche, as I'm a mom to thirteen-year-old boy/girl twins. THIRTEEN! TEENAGERS! (I remember when I was writing that they were two!) I used to be heavily involved in feral cat rescue until the arrival of said twins. A lot of things you might want to know about me are listed in my interests, but most aren't. Like my addiction to orange juice. And pineapple juice. And pineapple and orange juice mixed together. Maybe with some bananas mashed in. Anyway. I guess you'll just have to take a chance and friend me if you'd like to know more.

Lilypie 6th to 18th Ticker

So I guess I should actually put a little bit about me in this bio, eh? All righty.

I have a bachelor's degree with honors in Anthropology that I never use. Case in point, I drive a school bus for the Lakota Local School District, which is about as far from the career in archaeology that I had envisioned for myself as I can imagine. I like my job, all the same. I have the aforementioned kids whom I adore, even when they drive me batty. And thanks to my kids, I now own budgies again - two of the little guys! I admit it, I missed having birds.

My family has recently become the caretaker of TEN(!) domestic rabbits, one male and nine females, who have the run of the house. Gromit is the male, a Dwarf Hotot mix, and has quite the personality. Bella is a solid grey American. She is very sweet and placid, compared to Gromit's more adventurous nature. She's also about twice his size, at 5.5 lbs compared to Gromit's 2.5 pounds. Popcorn is a white and black Mini-Rex, sort of high-strung and very active, but very affectionate - her nickname is 'Toelicker' because that seems to be one of her favorite things to do! Mocha is a brown... well, she's big. And creamy brown. She looks just like the Cadbury Bunny, actually. And Pye... Pye is a lynx-marked Netherland Dwarf, who is very shy and very fast! She's not particularly fond of us humans, but we're hoping she'll settle down as she matures. (No such luck!) We got three five-week-old female baby Dutch bunnies on March 10, 2012, and their names are Iris, Orchid, and Lily - our Flower Babies. On Saturday, April 14th, 2012, we adopted Roxie, a Dutch doe, from Pampered Pets Animal Rescue - a great place if you're looking for that special bunny of your own! Finally, to complete the bunny family, we adopted Clover, a grey lop, on April 6, 2013 - also from Pampered Pets. Clover came from a neglect case, so she's happy to get attention and space to roam. Surprisingly enough, they all get along fabulously well - probably because they're all spayed and neutered. I say that we are their caretakers rather than their owners because rabbits, being the curious creatures that they are, don't have owners. They allow us to live here in exchange for taking care of them. And that's how it should be.

We recently adopted four guinea pigs, two boys - Darwin and Gumball - and two girls - Bonnie and Romana - and the boys are kept strictly separated from the girls because we don't want more. :) We also have two hermit crabs, Tex and H. R. Giger, who are so hideously ugly that they're adorable.

Oh, and I can't stand PETA.

I also have on-going love affairs with Volkswagens, classic and progressive rock, music ICON Gary Numan, the New Zealand male model Nick Bryant [if only he knew! =) ] and the television show Knight Rider - the original, thank you! I also love too many other television shows to name here, but the highlights are Knight Rider, Supernatural, Grimm, Star Trek in just about any incarnation, Adventure Time, Sleepy Hollow, and Doctor Who (both old and new). I watch several other shows, but those are the biggies.

Essentially, I am a dork.

The following quote sums me up pretty well, I think:

'If there's one thing I remember, it's how to forget!' ~ Mermaid Man, SpongeBob Squarepants
