Welcome to the Chicago CityKey Appointment System!
The Office of the City Clerk’s CityKey is an optional, valid, government-issued ID, a Chicago Public Library Card, a Chicago Transit Authority Ventra Card and a Chicago Rx prescription drug discount card available to all Chicagoans to unlock discounts and benefits from our participating CityKey business partners. With the CityKey ID, Keyholders can fully explore and experience the great things our city offers.
CITYKEY IS FREE! We do not charge a fee to schedule an appointment.
Chicago’s CityKey program now offers appointments! The newly launched appointment system streamlines our mobile ID printing events to get more CityKeys to more Chicagoans. Those interested in becoming a Keyholder can sign up for an appointment by location and date. Applicants are required to schedule an appointment to apply for a CityKey card and must present proof of appointment through the confirmation code provided through email.
