Supernova 2014bc in M106

Supernova 2014bc was discovered on May 20, 2014 by the PS1 Science Consortium when it was already 40 days old. At that time it was shining at mag 14.8. It is situated just 1" east and 3" south of the nucleus of M106, and was classified as of type II.
