SR-75 [HyImpulse Technologies]

SR-75 is HyImpulse Technologies' suborbital demonstration vehicle to test the hybrid propulsion technology for their small SL-1 orbital launch vehicle.

A uniquely safe single-stage vehicle for microgravity experiments and atmospheric research. Its built-in-house HyPLOX-75 hybrid rocket motor uses paraffin and liquid oxygen, which makes it the first European sounding rocket that exploits such combination of propellants. It has a thrust of 75 kN (sea level) and a lifting capability to 200 km ballistic trajectory is 250 kg of payload. Onboard two-stage parachute recovery system, that is capable of payload recovery of up to 700 kg of mass.

A maiden flight was originally planned for 2022 at SaxaVord, but was delayed to March 2024 and the launch site was changed to Southern Launch’s Koonibba Test Range, Australia.
