Prison gates won't open up for me
On these hands and knees I'm crawlin'
Oh, I reach for you
Well I'm terrified of these four walls
These iron bars can't hold my soul in
All I need is you
Come please I'm callin'
all I scream for you
Hurry I'm fallin', I'm fallin'
Castiel felt a pain in his back s the demon blade sliced through his vessels skin. Normally a wound like this would be trite, in sequential. But as the blade pierced him he knew it was the end for something. It was time to chose. He felt his true form being pushed from the vessel. His will tried to bind him in but the force of demonic pressure was forcing his pure soul out and into the battle field. He felt Dean turned to look at him and he screamed one last sentence. "Don't look at me!" And then he was projected outwards.
Show me what it's like
To be the last one standing
And teach me wrong from right
And I'll show you what I can be
And say it for me
Say it to me
And I'll leave this life behind me
Say it if it's worth saving me
He felt weak. For the first time in over a century he felt like he could not protect himself properly. He called out to Dean though he knew it to be useless. The demon came at him quickly and Castiel felt himself being pulled away. No, he couldn't leave Dean now. The hunter needed him. "Say it Dean, order me to stay!" Castiel screamed to no avail. He saw Dean's face contort in pain as Castiel's true voice reached him. "You need to say it!" And with that Castiel was pulled away and into a new place, one he had never before seen.
Heaven's gates won't open up for me
With these broken wings I'm fallin'
And all I see is you
These city walls ain't got no love for me
I'm on the ledge of the eighteenth story
And all I scream for you
Come please I'm callin'
And all I need from you
Hurry I'm fallin', I'm fallin'
"Castiel, you can not yet return to our home." It was Gabriel who spoke to him. The left hand of god himself. "Why not?" Castiel's voice held a hint of fear he could not feel inside of it. "The gates do not open because some part of you rejects them. You do not want to be in heaven. Tell me why?" Castiel did not say anything but he found himself falling fast towards the earth. With his mind he traced the bound created when he pulled Dean Winchester from hell. He found the man sitting inside of his car, Castiel was quickly having his grace pulled from him so it was hard to see the older Winchester. He called to Dean not with his voice but with his thoughts. He hoped the bound forged between the savior and the saved would be enough for the Wichester to find him. All he needed was for Dean to be there and to collect his grace. It needed to be kept from the demons. And if he was there. . . . . . maybe Castiel would be able to posses the vessel instead of an infant child. 'You must save me Dean.' Were his last thoughts before darkness took control.
Hurry I'm fallin'
All I need is you
Come please I'm callin'
And all I scream for you
Hurry I'm fallin', I'm fallin', I'm fallin'
Castiel awoke in a dingy, under lit motel room. At first everything was fuzzy and confusing and he was scared. Then as he felt the fear it all clicked into place. He had fallen. He was human. His rational patteren of thought alerted him to the fact that he was an adult. He glanced around and noticed Dean sitting on foot of the bed.

"I knew you needed me." Dean said. "I called out to you as I feel. And it is apparent that you made it in time." Though he was now human Castiel found he had no easier understanding of human behavior and was at a complete loss when Dean suddenly grew angry. "Why did you fall?" "I had no choice."
And say it for me
Say it to me
And I’ll leave this life behind me
Say it if it’s worth savin' me
Hurry I’m falling
"I needed you." And as the words left Dean Wichester's mouth Castiel knew that he was saved.
