Open Volunteer Roles at AANE
We are accepting applications for the following open roles.
Path to Empowerment Program Guide
LifeMAP is seeking professionals working with the autism community to support Autistic adults and older teens in need of reduced-fee guidance through the Path to Empowerment program.
Volunteers with our Path to Empowerment program are welcome to contribute without a set time limit. However, we request a commitment of at least one year, dedicating 3-5 hours per week to ensure meaningful and sustained support for our program participants.
Volunteer guides will undergo similar training to LifeMAP coaches with a distinct focus on how to carry out the 10-week program. This comprehensive training covers administrative aspects, clinical techniques, and essential information on autism and mentoring strategies. Additionally, volunteer guides benefit from ongoing support provided by a dedicated LifeMAP staff supervisor assigned specifically to support our Path to Empowerment program.
Acceptance as a volunteer guide for the Path to Empowerment program will be based on an appropriate professional or educational background and relevant personal experience.
To apply to become an Empowerment Program Guide, please send a cover letter and your resume to [email protected].
Please note: Training takes place at various times throughout the year based on the needs of the program.
