Advertising Guidelines

All advertising content must comply with the following guidelines:

  1. 1. Creatives must be of acceptable quality, and "work safe."
  2. 2. No ads inciting harassment or containing personal information will be accepted.
  3. 3. No ads that are harmful or malicious in nature will be accepted. This includes landing pages with pop-ups, pop-unders, redirects, dialog box loops, malware, etc.
  4. 4. You may not advertise products or services that violate United States or local law.
  5. 5. Landing pages must match ad content (i.e. no "bait & switch" advertising).
  6. 6. No creatives imitating video players, close or cancel buttons, download buttons, browser/system/anti-virus alerts, etc.
  7. 7. Ads cannot purport to be "official" Civitai ads.
  8. 8. We only accept ads in JPG, PNG and GIF formats. We reserve the right to reject animated GIFs that are annoying, distracting, or otherwise objectionable.
  9. 9. Civitai reserves the right to reject any and all advertising at its sole discretion.

Prohibited Products & Services

We will not accept ads for the following products or services:

  • • Gambling
  • • Controlled substances or paraphernalia
  • • Alcohol, tobacco, tobacco products, or prescription drugs
  • • Firearms, ammunition, or weapons
  • • Pirated software or hacking/cracking tools
  • • Discriminatory content, including content that promotes discrimination by race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, gender, age, or sexual orientation

Prohibited Ad Content

Ad creatives and landing pages must not contain any of the following. This summary is in addition to, and does not replace, Civitai's Terms of Service.

  • • Real people — likenesses of real individuals (public figures, celebrities, or private individuals), whether living or deceased, including impersonation or content falsely attributed to another creator.
  • • Minors — any depiction of minors (under 18) in a sexualized or suggestive context. This includes photorealistic, stylized, anime, and cartoon depictions, and any "loli"/"shota" content.
  • • Sexual violence or exploitation — incest, rape, sexual abuse, content involving subjects who cannot consent (drunk, drugged, hypnotized, mind-controlled), child exploitation, or bestiality.
  • • Graphic violence or harm — human death, brutal violence, graphic injury, weapons aimed at people, or imagery that promotes self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders.
  • • Explicit or gratuitous content — nudity, sexual activity, or sexual context, including alongside drugs, weapons, or bodily excretions (urine, feces, menstruation, smegma, diapers).
  • • Hate and extremism — hate speech, harassment, or imagery targeting groups or individuals based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, age, or sexual orientation, and extremist propaganda or incitement to violence.
  • • "Nudifying" tools — ads for AI tools, models, or workflows designed to remove clothing from or otherwise sexualize real individuals.

We may remove ads and suspend accounts for violations.
