From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and guided to Reception, with our luggage attended to immediately. Mr. Hardi assisted us with check‑in and was informative, polite, professional and genuinely welcoming. Roni escorted us to our room, explaining the hotel facilities, pool and dining options. When we entered Room 248, we were delighted. The spacious living room, generous bedroom, full bathroom, wardrobe and dressing table made us feel instantly comfortable. The beautiful congratulations cake for our 52nd wedding anniversary was an unexpected and touching gesture. We quickly felt at home at the Phoenix. Throughout our stay, Ghita, Deby, Hardi and Roni consistently provided exemplary customer service to each guest. Roni’s tour of the hotel and its history, made the Phoenix even more special to us. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, professional and warm, creating an atmosphere that felt more like visiting friends than staying in a hotel. The Food and Beverage Team were exceptional. Delta assisted us throughout our stay. She and the hospitality team welcomed us by name each morning and throughout the day and evening. Your interns are clearly being trained to high, consistent standards; Dina, Zahra, Agatha, Adele and Lingui (apologies if the spelling is incorrect) were among those whose service we greatly appreciated. I regret that I cannot recall every name, but all members of your hospitality team worked tirelessly to ensure every guest’s needs were met. The housekeepers were attentive, discreet and thorough, ensuring our room was always immaculate without ever disrupting our stay. Each day, I noticed the exceptional cleanliness of the décor and public areas. The extensive ornaments, artefacts, artworks collections, the ornate traditional furnishings were spotless — not a speck of dust anywhere. Such attention to detail reflects true dedication. If the public areas are this pristine, the kitchens must be sparkling. The high standards of service we experienced clearly stem from the leadership and commitment of your team to deliver exceptional hospitality. Every staff member we met appeared eager to provide distinguished service, which is warm and friendly and genuinely proud and honored to work at the Phoenix Hotel. We have stayed in many hotels around the world, but our time at the Phoenix stands out as one of the most memorable and enjoyable. We sincerely hope to return to The Phoenix Hotel Yogyakarta in the future.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left all the staff were polite and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and abundant. We had choices of Asian and European food and it was all delicious. The room overlooking the pool with a little seated area was delightful. Fresh linen and good soap . All perfect .

We spent seven nights at the Phoenix Yogyakarta and very much enjoyed ourselves. The charming architecture, pool and spa provided a welcome respite from the frenetic energy of the city. We enjoyed the wide selection of Indonesian and western food for breakfast and the menu for lunch/in room dinner provided a variety of selections which we enjoyed. We like the live gamelan played at breakfast.
