Perfect for making sourdough.

The manufacturer’s packing isn’t good enough. Jars were broken in my first two orders. I got the silicone covers that are not the Weck brand and they fit very well. I only just received it because I had to return the first two orders so I presently have some soup stored in the first one. So far so good! I like the wide mouth. I don’t plan to do canning in them but the clips and rubber seals look unwieldy and tricky to use- especially if everything is boiling hot. Good luck to those who are canning things! Let us know any tricks you might have!!

Arrived safely and all intact. The jars are the famous Weck quality and are great for storing, freezing and fermenting. If you cost average the carton of six the price is excellent.

These Weck jars are so perfect for so many things! My main reason for buying them was for making sourdough starter but I immediately used them to store sliced cucumbers, cooked chicken cubes, home made tzatziki, and home made pizza sauce.

I love how clean and beautiful they look. They feel very well made and are easy to clean by hand. These jars are truly air tight and you have to be careful when opening because the lid can be hard to take off after you’ve stored something inside. I will slowly be switching some of my pantry storage to these jars. These are the 3/4 L size but I do wish they made larger ones. I’d use these jars for everything. They stack easily and save tons of space as well!

As for sourdough, these are especially great because you can easily see what’s inside and the jar only has their logo embossed on one side of the jars whereas Ball mason jars - there’s embossing all around the jar. So this allows you to use a glass marker to label easily. The lid can be nested on top without the ring and clamps which is helpful for allowing just the right amount of gases into your starter.

These were such a great buy! I waited forever to buy them because they’re pricey - but trust me, you won’t run out of ways to use them and they’re worth every penny!

Been longtime Mason jar user, just recently found out of Weck jars and fell in love. The best part is that the mouth of the jar is way bigger than mason jar. I don’t know about you but I have small hands but they still didn’t fit the mason jars, even their wide mouth. So this is heavenly compare to that. I can clean it better, it might take up a little more space but it is worth it. I bought the 743 box of 6 and it came perfectly intact, not broken so I got lucky. That would be the only concern buying from Amazon reading some the reviews. Other than that this is a great jar for everyday cooking and storage. I’m so I found these jars.

These jars are awesome for sourdough starter. Very easy to clean in the dishwasher and wide mouthed for easy access for scooping. I feel they're very sturdy as well, not flimsy glass but thick and hardy. The seals work well too as I've had one of my starters in the fridge for a few months in one of these and it's still sealed up perfectly.

1 of the 6 jars was completely busted. The lid is fine and all other jars seem to be ok. Unfortunately, Amazon would only offer total refund for return instead of a partial refund so I guess I’ll just take the loss here. Otherwise, jars are as described. Authentic Weck jars. I already have 2 so these match up as expected. Great jars despite shipping issues.

Perfect for holding everything and makes my fridge look super organized. Love that there are no microplastics and are easy to clean. Easy to use and seal well. Perfect thickness and high quality.

Delivered on time and product is as described. I used these jars for canning for the first time, I usually use jars with metal lids and screw tops. I have to admit that I was a little sceptical as they use rubber gaskets and a glass lid with metal clips to hold them> I found the jars very easy to fill and they closed and sealed perfectly. Very happy and will likely transition to these. They are more expensive than the jars I have used before.

I really appreciate the design of these jars. They are well suited for growing sourdough culture: easy to clean and good lids for venting. The seals are a touch fiddly, and I do worry about losing the closure clips or damaging the seals when they are stored between uses. But these are small issues, and overall I really prefer these to the classic mason jars that I've replaced.
