  Great journal that I am enjoying so far.

  So I have to admit in my excitement I ordered the wrong journal, expecting the dotted one, and noticed after removing all packaging it was blank. I was a little bummed.

  But I quickly learned how amazing this notebook is: Included with the plain notebook is a guide sheet; one side has a ruled template, and the other a grid. All was good!! I bought the journal with intentions to pick back up on bullet journaling and have heard many good things about these journals. Though the paper is thin and I was concerned my markers would bleed terribly though to the back, I have only seen mild evidence of such.

  The plain sheets make it very open to customization, and I feel like I can also dual-purpose it as a impromptu sketchbook if I do not have mine with me. I am very satisfied with my purchase, even though I had initially put the wrong product in my cart. I may just continue purchasing this style of journal for subsequent bullet journals after my happy accident

  Could This Be The Most Perfect Notebook?

  Ever since I started my personal art project entitled, "Notes From My Brain" two years ago, I realized quickly just how important it was to record my handwritten notes. I have tried expensive to low-grade standardized solutions and was displeased with the results. It isn't just that I prefer empty, plain notebooks and most of the journals were lined, but the ones I bought just didn't stand the test of time. I enjoy the pocket space-saver at the rear of the notebook and the quality of the paper. It handles well and doesn't "bleed" through the pages. It also has nifty features like the pen-loop option (sold separately), numbered pages and a table of contents (to use as a quick reference guide so you can get to your important notes quickly) and omigod, the stickers at the back of the notebook so you could appropriately label / date / categorize your brilliance is genius.

  The variety of sizes and candy-like colors along with the choice of ruled, graph, and dotted pages make this product a writer's favorite. I need more of these. A lot more.

  I routinely used to buy one to two Moleskines per year until I came across Leuchtturm. The paper quality is not perfect, but it does perform better than Moleskine's. I adore the fact that the pages are numbered and that I can tear up the last few pages. The colors are amazing, and the pricing is great. Moreover, the contents pages are excellent for journaling. This notebook actually inspired me to write and sketch more, so I'm using up its 249 pages quickly; I will order another one of these very soon.

  I really love the size and color selection of these journals. Mine is multi-purpose, for sketching, journaling, and project planning. The pages are a bit thin so darker pens will show on the other side, but I've found this to be my favorite journal compared to other products out there.

  I really like this brand and the notebook itself is very nice and sturdy, and the paper does feel luxurious as another poster said. However, the paper is also surprisingly thin. I have not yet found a pen that does not show through if you use both front and back of the page. And believe me, I have tried many, many, MANY pens. I know a lot of bullet journalers love this notebook, but when I tried, it just didn't work for me. Especially with any sort of drawing, markers, colored pencils, etc. it just became pretty much impossible to use both sides of a page. For some of my spreads, I actually ended up using double sided tape to stick two pages together so there wouldn't be bleed-through. I don't really bullet journal as such, so I'm still debating about whether or not I'll get another one of these for my every day notes and lists. The bleed-through isn't as big of a deal to me if I'm not using it for more artistic purposes, but still not ideal.

  The things I like about it most are:

  - the dotted grid

  - the fact that it will lay flat and doesn't wear out the binding

  - it has a nice pocket at the back which opens towards the binding, so stuff doesn't fall out easily (really nice design, good job on that)

  - it has a lot of pages for its size

  - it includes two built-in bookmarks, which I especially like because I always have more than one thing I need to be able to locate easily

  - the built-in elastic closure

  - although I don't use them, it comes with stickers for labeling

  I've tried other notebooks that have some of these features, but this is the only one I know of that has all of them. So for me the only real drawback is how thin the pages are (I guess that's how they get so many pages in!) but it's a big enough drawback to likely keep me from purchasing another one. It's a little pricey for a notebook - I don't mind that for something I love that I'm going to use every day, and that will keep me inspired and motivated to use it every day. But in spite of that I'm not sure it's worth it for the pages that are too thin to be able to use it the way I really want to.

  This isn't a complaint about the product, but I ordered the emerald green color (which is really kind of a bright turquoise and I love it) but what I got was the army green, which is a really deep olive color and not at all my thing. I needed it quickly and needed to use it pretty much as soon as I got it, so I didn't bother returning it or complaining because I was leaving the country and taking it with me. I also thought it was possible I clicked on the wrong color when ordering, but looking back over the order now, I definitely chose emerald green and they just sent me the wrong one. But since the color is unappealing to me, once I used it for what I really needed it for, I didn't continue to use it. Not intentionally, but I realize it just didn't inspire me or make me happy to use like ones I've had in the past in colors I loved, so I just gradually stopped keeping it with me or reaching for it. I didn't knock any stars off because of it, because this is a review of the product and not the seller, but I'm still kind of bummed about that.
