Nature Made Magnesium Supports
Understanding Magnesium
Magnesium is a mineral that assists in more than 300 metabolic reactions in the body—from supporting nerve function to regulating muscle function to maintaining bone density. Magnesium can naturally be found in legumes, nuts, seeds and yogurt.+
Magnesium has been identified as a common dietary shortfall. Over 50% of US adults do not consume enough Magnesium in their diets (1). This means that supplementation is important for many people. Health experts recommend a daily intake of 400–420 mg/day for men and 310–320 mg/day for women.
(1) Reider, Carroll A et al. “Inadequacy of Immune Health Nutrients: Intakes in US Adults, the 2005-2016 NHANES.” Nutrients vol. 12,6 1735. 10 Jun. 2020, doi:10.3390/nu12061735.
Magnesium assists hundreds of metabolic reactions, helping support bone health, nerve and muscle function, and cellular energy production. As if that wasn't enough, it also helps support the production of Melatonin. It's a mineral with one heck of a job description.+
