A passionate explorer, Casandra keeps a bucket list of dream destinations and checks off a new one every few months. She lives by many mottos, but her favorite is “Live, Laugh, Love,” which is also tattooed on her left arm as a daily reminder to live today, laugh often, and love always.

Lady Rainmaker was born and raised Rachel D. Johnson in Gary, Indiana. The 11th of 12 children, Rainmaker took after her mom, Edith Johnson who’s also a poetess. Rainmaker wrote her 1st poem at the age of six and has been writing ever since! Although she wanted to be a singer like her father, Argusta Johnson Sr., and most of her sisters, she was fascinated by poetry. She thought it wonderful to be able to shape words creatively and bring new light to the world.

Along with poetry, Rainmaker has also written musicals, variety shows, short stories, a comic book, music, comedy sketches, and co-written a sitcom with Corey Oliver. She enjoys rapping as a relaxing hobby and writing raps as well. She adores spending time with her granddaughter, son, and godson, and attending services at Life United Pentecostal Church in Georgia. Her favorite hobbies outside of writing are playing video games on Sony PlayStation devices, watching way too much television, learning Korean, listening to good books, laughing, and enjoying beautiful women.

Sanye Phoenix is a Queens, New York native and the creative force behind Glamour Gyrl Booktique. Known for writing emotionally charged urban romance filled with passion, betrayal, complicated relationships, and unexpected twists, Sanye creates stories that keep readers turning pages while touching the parts of the heart that love sometimes breaks.

Her writing explores love in all its messy, beautiful, and devastating forms—from desire and heartbreak to forgiveness, resilience, and healing. With a voice that is bold, raw, feminine, and unapologetically real, Sanye writes the kind of stories that feel like a conversation with your favorite big sister: honest, emotional, and never afraid to tell the truth.

Beyond romance, Sanye is passionate about bringing awareness to the silent battles many Black women face, including invisible illnesses. Her work reminds readers that strength doesn't always look powerful on the outside and that sometimes the strongest women are fighting battles nobody can see.
