Great product works well

This sentiment, Buster works very well would recommend it to anybody who’s looking to clean their hot water tank once a year.

The unit is as described. Well built, did not leak, was easy to use with my compressor. But I have my doubts as to its overall effectiveness as my water heater was not drained for a decade and I saw virtually no evacuation of sediment, I imagine it is still in there. Although the first blast of air did improve the flow of water from the tank by clearing the outlet. the clear plastic body is brilliant as it allows for monitoring the progress of the water quality.

Really a good product!

I drain my hot water tank every year and it took about two to three hours to drain. I installed this unit, pumped in some air and my 50gal thit warer ank drained within 30 minutes. My tank is only 5 years old.

Excellent tool. We had to use this to drain a few gallons of water from a heater to change the anode. Without it, would not be possible, the valve was clogged. You don't need high pressure from a compressor, we cleared the valve just using a tire inflator.

Yes, you should be replacing your water heater anode every 7-8 years to prevent scale and tank corrosion.

Preventive Maintenance is the key to keeping your water heater at its' Best! For my annual flush and clean, I decided to to try this gadget. Wow! Using this well-designed product helped me finish the job much faster, and with the best results! Simple to use, just attach it to your water heater outlet valve, connect your garden hose, and that's it. The product itself is well made, and should last a long time. There are plenty of youtube videos to help you get the best results. For me, it took about an hour to do a complete Drain & Flush. Highly recommend! Well worth it!

Turns out I didn't have much sediment, but I had a bunch of vapor lock so this thing was a Godsend for me to see if water was flowing out or not. The schrader valve not only helps break up sediment; It allows you to add air pressure to the tank - perfect to push the water out when the tank is vapor locked.

I expected sediment, which I didn't want to dump on (& potentially stain) my concrete driveway, so there wasn't a lot of elevation change in my garden hose. No problem when the water is being pushed out under pressure. Flowed more under pressure than it did taking out the upper element to remove the vapor lock.

Money well spent.

I was skeptical about this thing but I have to say it does everything it says it does! I have drained my hot water tank before and gotten out some sediment but this thing cleared everything out, the 7 minute video explained everything easily and the whole thing took a little over an hour. It probably removed about 3 pounds of sediment. I don’t do a lot of reviews but when something actually works as advertised I take the time to let people know it. This thing works great! 5 stars! Just bought this to help in draining my hot water tank for my new house, and it worked exactly as advertised. I had no idea when the tank was last flushed, and the air injection port was EXTREMELY helpful in breaking up sediment clogs at the drain valve. Videos on YouTube show people using an air compressor for short blasts, but I used an electric air inflator and did several 3-5 second air injections to stir everything up. The clear section is great to confirm that you have a good water flow. I was ultimately able to get about 7-8 pounds of sediment and minerals out of my tank, which showed it hadn't been cleaned in a long while.

The only real negative is that the hose connector starts to leak a bit after using it for a while, so be sure to have some towels and/or shammys handy to catch the drips. Otherwise, this is a quality product for people that don't want to work on trying to back-flush clogged tanks.

I have been a licensed plumber since 1982. This device is awesome. I ordered it because I had a 24 year old electric water heater fed with hard well water and I knew what I was in for. This made the draining process possible. I highly recommend it. And it will come in handy for flushing tanks for me now. Great product.
