Big kitties!
Today I went to the Henry Doorly Zoo here in Omaha!
I LOVED it.
I LOVED it.
I have a bunch of pictures, but I have my favorites here

Can you believe he was looking up at us from at least 30 feet? (and yes, he was looking at us, we were the only ones up there!)

I couldn't for the life of me find the sign telling what these guys were, but they were really cute, and the picture came out really nice :) Oh, and These guys and the ones in the next picture live in the 'Desert Dome' which, I found out, is the worlds largest indoor desert (and trust me, I believe it)

It's a Kestral!! He thinks I am just as intresting as I found him ;-)

Here we have the reason why I love this zoo so much... they have BIG KITTIES. And not just "Oh, I think I see one over there, behind the rocks on the other side of the exhibit" kitties, I mean "TIGER, oh my, RIGHT THERE" kind of kitties.
That, and I love this picture, she looks so sleepy and cute. But yes, she is a Siberian Tiger, they have 8 Siberian tigers, 2 Indochinese tigers, 1 Sumatran tiger (he was so small compared to the others!), and 2 tigers from I think India (I don't really know, they didn't have a placard but they were swimming!!) They also have 2 Jaguars (one normal, one black) a fishing cat, a bobcat, 5 lions, and a snow leopard! (I may have spent to much time in the Big Cat house) It is the largest Tiger breading program in North America!

This is the big male Siberian tiger... and when I say big, I mean, his paws are the size of my head big. Cause they were. When we came back around towards his area he was sicking his head down a whole, so all that we saw was tiger butt.

Bad pictures I know, but she was moving around a lot! Really though, the reason I kept this one is because in it you can see two things; one, she jumped up on the glass right in front of me (squeee!! so cool!) and two, she only has 3 legs! She was hopping around her area, I believe thinking up ways to kill the guy laughing at her for only having 3 legs (bastard), but I can only hope.

♥

Big Sliverback Gorilla... The whole exhibit is really cool, they have these 'bubbles' that pop into the exhibit and I had a gorilla walk over me O;o

This huge alligator is one of the things that make the zoo famous... a white alligator, wow...

I have only seen these in pictures, I love cranes and I even drew these guys a few years ago, and these are some of the preattest ones I have ever seen... I never thought I would ever see them in real life.

I forgot what he is, but he reminded me of my dog socks so much I had to get a picture of him... he even had that "why are you waking me up" look socks gives me ;-)
Ok, for more pictures, go here (and yes Lauren I have a whole bunch more of the tigers)
