#36 bus on a Tuesday night.

Coming home tonight on the #36 was a trip. We pull up to the stop @Belle Plaine and I notice there's construction horses and a big honkin arrow telling drivers to stay to the left. It's too obvious to not be noticed and so the bus driver proceeds through the intersection, then just stops and gets off the bus, telling people it's going to be awhile. We all get up and walk to the front of the bus, I thought the bus hit some poor soul who didn't see us coming. Nope. I it was an SUV parked in such a way that the bus driver believed she couldn't maneuver through. My stop was only a few blocks away, and at first I decided to wait a bit. I kept thinking, okay, I've seen bus drivers do some real fancy turning when they're inches behind another large vehicle and in this case the bus was well behind the SUV. Granted, the SUV shouldn't have been parked there, but such as it was, it was.. I made a comment out loud that the bus driver could at least back up and turn the bus to a point where it could get around the SUV. I didn't expect an answer from the guy next to me. All he could think of was that the bus could get damaged. I replied back, oh poor bus. God forbid if an ambulance were to try and get through. Well, after that I got off the bus and started walking north. Sure as shit, an ambulance was coming and because of that bus it sat there for like 10 minutes, sirens wailing and horn honking non-stop. All I could think of was, for sure as fcuk I'm glad I wasn't on that ambulance, because indecision and fear of damage to a bus might have killed me.
