Thoughts (and by thoughts I mean general squealing and being in a glass case of emotions) on tonight's H50 ep:

This is seriously what my brain was like during the episode:

 

I'm sure this episode has a plot. But to me the plot is

STEVE/DANNO H/C STAY WITH ME RUNNING WITH THE STRETCHER ALL FREAKING OUT AND PANICKY GOING TO PICK UP GRACIE FROM SCHOOL UNCLE STEVE HUGS ADORABLE TALK OTHERWISE NEVER LEAVING HOSPITAL ALL RELIEVED FOR DANNO ADORABLE STEVE/DANNO LOOKS BANTERING GRACE ALL SMILES SHE CAN STAY AT STEVE’S HOUSE LOOKING GOOD ADORABLE LOOKS AGAIN STEVE COMES BACK TO CHECK ON DANNY AGAIN AND THEY SHARE GOOFY ADORABLE GRINS AND THEN DANNY COMES BACK TO THE OFFICE AND THEY BANTER AND THEN THEY HUG AND THEN THEY HUG DID I MENTION THEY HUG ALSO UNCLE STEVE AND GRACE HUGS AND OH YEAH STEVE AND DANNO HUGGED BTW.

I know a lot of people aren't happy with the whole Rachel inclusion, and Danny waving Steve away while cuddling with Rachel...but the show is never going to put Steve and Danny together, not romantically. And while of course I would LOVE it if Steve and Danny ever did get together, what we get instead is a wonderful friendship, two best friends who love each other and would do anything for each other. Steve saw Danny was happy and being taken care of, and he was happy for him, and knew he'd see him soon because his best friend was alive and well and wasn't going to leave him. I actually totally ship Danny/Rachel, not even close to how much I ship Steve/Danny, but given what the show will actually give us, I'll take Danny/Rachel and the epic!bromantic love of Steve and Danny.
