I've been hearing good things about Pirates II, although, admittedly, I haven't looked pass the lj-cuts. It's such a pity that the film won't come out here until the bloody 21st.
I was suppose to go out to buy a new pair of jeans today (yay for losing weight!), but my aunt, who has the car, hasn't returned yet from some breakfast thing. It's not breakfast if it's almost one o'clock in the afternoon.
The washing machine broke, which means I currently have a stranger in my house, who's staring at it, while holding a wrench, as though all the soap bubbles and dirty water hold the key to the universe. Or at least the lottery numbers.
The World Cup is coming to an end. I have to admit that, even though the last teams standing aren't my favourites, it's definitely a much more interesting income than I had expected.
I might be going out for dinner today. I saw "might" in the whole "if I don't get ditched again by stupid men who need rocks to be thrown at them". Bitter? Moi?
And, most delightedly, yesterday I went to speak with a professor (who is incompetent, moronic, incapable of speech, much less teaching) to discuss a very unfair mark he put on my end of term paper. Of course, I didn't have said paper, so I went to ask for it, and
Professor: Er, it should be here somewhere.
Callie: No rush.
Professor: Yes, er, let's, er, oh! No, not this one. (peers at Callie) Look over there, yes?
Naturally, he lost my paper. Lost. My. PAPER. How do you lose a single paper?
Professor: Can you come by Monday?
Callie: (looks for pointy object)
