Here are the complete rules, the weekly schedule, and a place to ask any questions you may have.


RULES
Sign Ups

• Sign ups will be posted weekly, and the characters and prompt are included in the sign-up post. So, there are no surprises and no pressure (well, almost none). Sign up if you feel inspired, or wait for another week if you don't.
  
• Sign ups are good for one week only. You must sign up for each week you want to participate. In other words, signing up for Week One does not mean you're automatically signed up for Week Two.
  
• Participation is limited to ten authors per week.
  
• There are no skips available. If you sign up but can't complete a drabble, please let me know. Repeat offenders will be prohibited from participating.

Voting

• Authors are required to vote in the challenge in which they are participating, meaning if you write a drabble that week, you must vote that week.* Votes must be cast for both Most Favorite and Least Favorite drabble. A vote just for one or the other will be disregarded. Authors who do not vote will have their drabbles for that week disqualified. *If real life circumstances mean you'll be unable to vote for some reason, please contact me.
  
• You may not vote for yourself, tell others to vote for you (although general pimping is welcome and encouraged), or post your drabble or other versions of your drabble elsewhere until the challenge is concluded and a winner has been announced.
  
• A vote for Most Favorite is worth 1 point and a vote for Least Favorite is worth -1 point. The author with the most points is the weekly winner, and the author with the second most points is the runner-up. If two or more authors have the same number of points, the winner is the author with the most Most Favorite votes. In the event of a true tie, a tie breaker vote will be held until a winner can be determined. Mod's Choice is unrelated to the popular vote and is strictly based upon the preferences of the mod.
  
• Banners will be awarded for the first place drabble and the runner-up. A banner will also be awarded for Mod's Choice, as long as there are ten participants.

Requirements

• Authors must follow the specifics of the weekly challenge—pairing, prompt, and word count. Failure to do so can lead to disqualification, so read the weekly challenge carefully.
  
• Authors are never required to write the given pairing as a romantic relationship. The goal is to have a good time, not force yourself to write a pairing that makes you uncomfortable. Genfic is fine if it fulfills the requirements of the weekly challenge. That said, het, slash, and femslash are fine, too, as are Black-cest, Malfoy-cest, Weasley-cest, Potter-cest, or whatever –cest you can think up given the challenge parameters.
  
• PLEASE refrain from depicting graphic violence, sex, and sexual activities between adults and children. I'd like to keep membership to the community open, which means I need to keep one eye on the fic ratings and the other on LJ's policies. If you have any questions, please ask. This may be something I need to deal with on a case by case basis, at least at first. Sadly, I need to reserve the right to reject a drabble if I think it will land my ass in hot water. If that happens, it will be returned with the option to revise and resubmit.

Misc.

• The rules are subject to change, but any changes will be posted to the community.

WEEKLY SCHEDULE

The weekly sign-up post, with characters and prompt included, will be posted every Friday morning by 8 am EST (Eastern Standard Time.) Sign ups will close Saturday at midnight EST or when we have ten participants, whichever comes first.

Drabbles are due Monday by midnight EST.

Voting begins on Tuesday morning and runs until Wednesday at midnight EST.

Winners are announced on Thursday.

On Friday, the yummy cross-gen goodness starts all over again.
