Years ago, Yuletide kicked off my love for Archie/Saul, and each year, there are a few more stories (including some amazing ones written for me!). But I'm greedy.
Canonically, it's kind of fuzzy whether Saul has a wife and family, because it seems to depend on the book. I don't mind if a wife exists, but I would prefer it if Saul doesn't cheat on his wife. So if you're going for Archie/Saul (always good!), please either have them divorced/profoundly separated, or make her not exist. I can see how the pairing might not be your thing, and if it's not, I would be perfectly happy with a mystery kind of thing, or a poker-playing scene, or anything where those two guys interact. Because they're hot and competent. Also, feel free to go crazy, if you want to, in terms of the setting. Anywhere in canon is fine, present-day is fine (Wolfe vs. the Internet!), even the future is fine (Wolfe vs. artificial gravity!).
I just want more of these two. Casefic, relationship stuff, vignettes from their school days, night out at the sex club, fighting and making up, anything.
This movie is so spare and quiet and and gentle and perfect. I love how Gheorghe basically has to teach Johnny to be a functioning human, and how loving Johnny becomes once someone treats him kindly. Anything during or post-movie would be great, or pre-canon Gheorghe pre-movie.
DNW: Death, rape/non-con, infidelity (though mention of the canonical infidelity is fine, just no new infidelity), mpreg, omegaverse, breakup of the relationship
I like how the Robinsons basically infect Don with their goodness and heroism. I like how he's often the one to defuse serious situations with humor. I love that he's become part of their weird blended family thing.
Ideas: How does Don adjust to life on Alpha Centauri? Does he ever go off with Will and Robot on adventures? I bet he irritates the crap out of the colony's bureaucracy. He and Penny have a fun bond, the smart-asses with marshmallow hearts.
I know Judy wasn't included on the nominated characters list, but if you wanted to write Don/Judy, I wouldn't object. (I just realized that they're basically Han and Leia.)
DNW: Not the biggest fan of Dr. Smith.
I unexpectedly got really fond of Darem? And I love how Jay-Den's mere existence is certainly pissing off idiots who forgot that Star Trek is supposed to be progressive. I enjoy their weird vibe and the almost completely unacknowledged tension between them. I'd be happy to read about what a relationship between them would be like, but gen is good too! As long as Darem is still bitchy.
What can I say? I love a good will-they won't-they. I love Mickey's independence and the way she hides her vulnerability. I love how Boone tries to pretend he's a stone wall but he's actually kind of goofy and occasionally stupid. I like them fighting crime, I like them being buddies outside of work who drink beer and watch football.

Oct. 17th, 2026 01:53 pmcupcake_gothI woke up yesterday with what was the worst migraine I’ve ever had. because while the one that sent me to the hospital a few weeks ago had tiny blips of unconsciousness, when I woke up, the pain level was a 10. (And I had extreme dizziness and shaking.) The hoarded Tylenol with codeine knocked the pain down to around an 8, and things were about a 6 when I went to bed.
I don’t have a migraine today, but I do have the migraine hangover, wheee.
So on Monday I’m going to call the migraine specialist and get an appointment, then call the imaging office and get my appointment for a brain scan. I generally don’t feel apprehensive about calling for medical appointments, but I’ll admit that I feel a little nervous about making those calls.

In my FB post I said that the only reason I wish I had the time and energy to be an influencer would be to have products sent to me for review. A friend commented, "hypothetically speaking, if one of these showed up on your doorstep, would an unboxing video happen?" I replied of course it would; later that evening, said friend DM'd me for my mailing address. Hmmmm. HMMMMMMM.
The reason I didn't just hit "Add to cart" when I first saw it was because I'd bought boots and a different eyeshadow palette (on the secondary market, because while the palette is gorgeous, the company has questionable political views and I don't give money to TERFs). If I had known about the Dracula palette, I wouldn't have bothered with the other one because OH MY GOD OFFICIAL HAMMER HORROR MAKEUP.

we got our vaccines on Friday evening, and by the time we went to bed I was feeling it. Yesterday was spent on the couch, taking muscle relaxers and Tylenol with codeine approximately every four hours, and even those only knocked my pain down to about a seven. I feel better today, but still not capable of doing anything other than sitting on the couch. I am going to see if I can manage doing some work on the beaded blood spatter project, because you know me, I’m incapable of resting and doing nothing.

While blearily flopped on the couch yesterday, I thought more about my outfit for the 10/24 MCR show. Yes, the burgundy velvet military jacket with silver buttons, but I’m reconsidering the idea of chains of keys draped across my chest from button to button, because I flail A LOT at MCR shows, and I’d almost certainly get tangled in them. And then I remembered that I have multiple decorative “medals” that I’ve bought over the years from Torc and Arrow (that would be my girl Leanna Renee Heiber, go read her books), and those are much more appropriate to the military uniform aesthetic of the The Black Parade. (I also have a giant black and clear rhinestone cross brooch, but I’ve been leery of wearing it for a while now because it looks like an iron cross).
Anyhoodle, now that I’ve figured out the ornamentation for the military jacket: do I want to wear all burgundy, or do I want to wear my ruffled pink and black striped blouse and matching skirt? Something to ponder while I’m flopping on the couch today.
