We've got a new study group and coven website courtesy of a lady I met through my Yahoo group. (See www.risingoaks.com--it's still not exactly what we want, but it's strictly a spare-time project, and I'm getting the services of a talented professional for free, so I'm not complaining.) There's even a feed to this blog--or wait, is it just a feed? It shows all the text, instead of being a blurb and a link like I'm used to for feeds. There's probably a better term for it... or maybe it's just a type of feed I haven't seen as often... anyway, that thing... It's nice, and it means I don't have to create yet another profile, or start a new blog, or learn yet another new interface. But only my public posts show.

So, now I am going to be editing some of my archived religious stuff show that it shows up, and posting things as public that in the past would have been filtered for reading by friends who were likely to be interested. To my Christian/atheist/agnostic/other friends who will find all that stuff boring or annoying: sorry. I will never know if you skip reading a certain post. I'll try to remember to use obvious subjects and tags.

Hopefully, though, I will blog more. We'll see.

A particular bozo who asked the above question had a child, which is depressing on several levels, and of course there would be the very real concern that this person would inadequately supervise the offspring, and the child would be badly hurt and/or the parent would sue.

Idiots and lawsuits are among the many things that worry me about going out into the internet world to find circle participants. I have always insisted before on meeting and talking a few times before doing ritual with someone and/or inviting them to my home; it's like when I was doing internet dating, and I insisted on meetings in a public place before going to my house or doing anything sexual (by which I don't mean PIV, I mean starting with kissing and caresses of erogenous zones.) Outer-court-style ritual is sort of like mild necking; it's not as intimate nor as dangerous as some other activity, but it has its rewards, it's nice to do it for a while before going further, and there are still a few dangers.

I told someone recently that when I was asked what car I wanted (after my previous was wrecked), I had said I wanted a MINI (Cooper) or a VW Bug-- now what can we afford? Actually, I think that I followed up with a mention of hybrids, which I also anticipated as pricey.

But the fact is, I don't shop around for cars until I know I'm about to need one, and it always surprises me to see people I know randomly checking out car sites on the internet, or hear them blithely quote how much a 2008 Mustang costs.

So a few weeks ago I looked at Toyota and Honda hybrid models, and more recently I built myself a MINI online. I was highly amused by the TOS when I signed up to send myself a link to my configuration. And I can't remember now which movie I agreed to see within the next year... (Edit: the MINI "Insider" TOS has all sorts of silly things in it, including promising to see some movie or another.)
