New Release - The Opal Drops "Invasion" EP
NEW RELEASE ON OCTOFOIL RECORDS
The Opal Drops - Invasion EP
(OCT03 - Digital)
Today Octofoil Records is proud to finally announce the newly released underground sythpop/electopop EP by The Opal Drops - "Invasion." DC-area locals Kara N. and Dave B. created Invasion, a short set of tracks recorded live on hardware, over the course of several weekends in the Fall of 2004. These tracks were originally distributed among local DC-area DJs who spun the tracks in clubs and on local college radio stations. Their sound was compared to Figurine, The Postal Service, and even early Depeche Mode, but The Opal Drops retained a low-fi introspective synthpop indie vibe that set them apart from similar artists. Four years later, Octofoil Records is proud to release these tracks for your enjoyment. Recorded in 2004; Mastered by Alien Implant 2008; Artwork by Antimony Arts 2008.
This album is now available on iTunes Plus, emusic, Amazon mp3 and other fine digital download sites.
