Jhohan David Sanguino Matamoros (born 1 December 1998)[1] is a Venezuelan weightlifter. He won the silver medal in the men's 109 kg event at the 2022 Pan American Weightlifting Championships held in Bogotá, Colombia.[1][2] He won the gold medal in his event at the 2022 South American Games held in Asunción, Paraguay.[3][4]

Sanguino won two silver medals at the 2022 Bolivarian Games held in Valledupar, Colombia.[5] He won the bronze medal in the men's 102 kg event at the 2023 Pan American Games held in Santiago, Chile.[6]

In 2024, he won the bronze medal in his event at the Pan American Weightlifting Championships held in Caracas, Venezuela. He won the gold medal in his event at the 2024 Bolivarian Games held in Ayacucho, Peru.[7]

In July 2026, Sanguino was issued with a four-year ban backdated to March 2025 for an anti-doping rule violation for testing positive for stanozolol.[8][9]
