Josh and Jase are a British social media and travel duo consisting of Joshua Cauldwell-Clarke and Jason "Jase" Riley, both from Nottingham, England. They are known for documenting their travels throughout the United States, with content focusing on American food, culture and tourist attractions. Their travel content is published across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, where they have accumulated millions of followers.[1][2]
Cauldwell-Clarke began gaining an audience in 2021 after posting videos of himself trying American food. Riley later joined him, and the pair developed their content into a series of trips across the United States in which destinations and activities are frequently selected from recommendations submitted by their followers.[1] By July 2024, they had made six trips to the United States.[1]
The duo have undertaken extended tours in several U.S. states. They toured Louisiana in 2025 and were subsequently named Louisiana tourism ambassadors by Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser.[3] Their visits to Michigan in 2026 attracted extensive local media coverage, including a three-week summer tour of the state.[4]
Members and background
[edit]Joshua Cauldwell-Clarke
[edit]Joshua Cauldwell-Clarke is from Nottingham, England.[1] He began creating content about the United States in 2021 after filming himself trying a Twinkie, which prompted him to explore other aspects of American food and culture.[1]
His early videos were published under the name "Josh From England". As his content expanded beyond food, Cauldwell-Clarke began travelling to the United States and documenting his experiences. Riley later joined him, and the two subsequently began creating content together as Josh and Jase.[1]
Cauldwell-Clarke became a father in early 2026 and did not accompany Riley on an April 2026 trip to Arkansas.[3]
Jason Riley
[edit]Jason "Jase" Riley is also from Nottingham.[1] Riley and Cauldwell-Clarke met several years before establishing their joint travel accounts and later discovered that they had grown up in the same area of England.[4]
Riley later joined Cauldwell-Clarke in creating American travel content, and the pair began publishing together under the Josh and Jase name. Riley has described recommendations from followers as an important part of their approach to travel, saying that local suggestions can lead them to places they would be unlikely to find through conventional online searches.[1]
In April 2026, Riley undertook a two-week solo tour of Arkansas after the pair selected the state using a roulette-style wheel containing all 50 U.S. states.[3]
Career

[edit]Josh and Jase's travel content is primarily centered on the United States. The pair developed a format in which followers recommend restaurants, landmarks and activities in the places they visit. By July 2024, they had travelled to the United States together six times.[1]
Their trips have included informal meet-and-greets with followers. Cauldwell-Clarke told Texas Public Radio in 2024 that some gatherings had attracted between 600 and 700 people.[1] The pair have also used some trips to promote locally owned businesses and raise money for charitable organizations in the communities they visit.[5]
United States trips
[edit]Texas (July 2024)
[edit]Josh and Jase toured Texas in July 2024, beginning in Austin around Independence Day before traveling through New Braunfels and San Antonio. In Austin, they visited local attractions and businesses including Barton Springs Pool and H-E-B, and attended the city's Fourth of July celebrations.[6]
During their visit to San Antonio, the pair documented local food and attractions, including Texas barbecue, the San Antonio River Walk and the Alamo. They also appeared on Texas Public Radio and KSAT 12, where they discussed their travels and sampled local foods.[1][7]
Louisiana (May 2025)
[edit]Josh and Jase toured Louisiana in May 2025, beginning in Shreveport, where they left their accommodation early after describing the conditions at their motel as unsafe. After receiving an invitation from a representative of L'Auberge Casino Resort, they travelled to Lake Charles, where they documented local food and culture, including trying boiled crawfish and po' boys and searching for alligators on the resort's golf course.[8]
The pair subsequently travelled through Acadiana and southern Louisiana, with stops including Lafayette, Scott, Rayne and Houma. Their activities included trying boudin, gumbo and chargrilled oysters, participating in a frog-leg eating competition at the Rayne Frog Festival, and meeting members of the cast of Duck Dynasty in West Monroe. They later travelled to Baton Rouge and New Orleans.[9]
In November 2025, Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser recognized Josh and Jase as Louisiana Ambassadors, citing the attention their tour had brought to the state's culture, food and destinations.[10]
Arkansas (April 2026)
[edit]In April 2026, Josh and Jase announced that Riley would undertake a solo tour of Arkansas while Cauldwell-Clarke remained in England following the birth of his child. The destination was selected in a social media video in which Cauldwell-Clarke spun a wheel containing the names of all 50 U.S. states, which landed on Arkansas. By April 8, the announcement video had received more than 3.5 million views and 155,000 reactions on Facebook. Riley planned to tour the state from April 15 to 28.[3]
Riley arrived in Little Rock on April 15 and began documenting food and attractions suggested by followers. His early stops included Camp Taco in Little Rock and Hot Springs, where he tried chocolate gravy and visited the city's thermal springs.[11] He also visited Anthony Chapel and Crater of Diamonds State Park before travelling to Texarkana and Fort Smith.
Riley continued into Northwest Arkansas, reaching Fayetteville on his birthday, April 20. While there, he visited Wright's Barbecue. His visit to Fort Smith also received coverage from the Southwest Times Record after he stopped at Ed Walker's Drive-In, where he tried banana cream pie.[12]
Michigan (Winter 2026)
[edit]Josh and Jase made their first extended visit to Michigan in January 2026, undertaking a three-week tour of the state during the winter. Beginning in western Michigan, they travelled north along the Lake Michigan shoreline before continuing through northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula. Their early stops included South Haven, Holland and Traverse City. In Holland, they attended a Hope College basketball game, where they sat courtside and attempted half-court shots during halftime.[13]
On January 18, while the pair were in northern Michigan, Cauldwell-Clarke developed severe pain and was taken to a hospital for treatment.[14] He was subsequently diagnosed with a ligament injury in his lower back.[15]
The pair resumed their tour and crossed the Mackinac Bridge into the Upper Peninsula on January 21.[16] In Marquette, they visited local businesses and the Marquette Harbor Light and attended a Northern Michigan University hockey game, where they appeared on the arena's video board and rode a Zamboni between periods.[17]
After the tour, Cauldwell-Clarke said that he received a letter from the hospital informing him that several employees had accessed his electronic health record on January 18 and 19 without a work-related reason. He discussed the incident publicly in February but did not identify the hospital.[15][18]
Michigan (Summer 2026)
[edit]Josh and Jase returned to Michigan in July 2026 for a second extended tour of the state, this time during the summer. The trip began in late July and was scheduled to continue through August 17.[19] As during their winter visit, the pair used recommendations from followers to help determine their itinerary.[4]
During the opening days of the trip, the pair visited Detroit and Ann Arbor before travelling to Jackson County. On July 27, Cauldwell-Clarke rode as a passenger in a pace car at Michigan International Speedway, reaching approximately 115 mph (185 km/h), before joining Riley at Virginia Coney Island in Jackson.[2] The following day, they visited Lansing, where their stops included the Michigan State Capitol and other local attractions. At Lansing City Hall, City Council president Peter Spadafore presented the pair with a proclamation from Mayor Andy Schor designating July 28 as "Josh and Jase Day".[2]
The tour subsequently continued through western and northern Michigan. During a stop in Grand Rapids, Josh and Jase visited families participating in Hospice of Michigan's pediatric hospice program and promoted a fundraiser benefiting the organization's Pediatric Hospice Endowment. Their involvement helped draw more than $20,000 in donations for patients and their families.[20]
Ahead of the pair's visit to Traverse City in early August, negative comments about them appeared in local social media groups. Cauldwell-Clarke and Riley addressed the criticism in a video, saying that some commenters had made inaccurate claims about them and emphasizing that they selected destinations themselves rather than visiting cities in exchange for payment. Cauldwell-Clarke said their in-person experiences in the area remained positive despite the online criticism.[5]
Near the end of the tour, the pair returned to southeastern Michigan for a public meet-and-greet in Novi on August 14. The event, held at a Planet Fitness location, was free and open to the public and included photographs with attendees and giveaways.[21] The meet-and-greet drew thousands of attendees, with the larger-than-expected crowd forming a line around the shopping center parking lot.[22]

[edit]In January 2026, Josh and Jase partnered with Michigan-based restaurant chain Jet's Pizza during their winter tour of the state. The collaboration resulted in the limited-time "Josh & Jase Special", consisting of an Ultimate Pepperoni eight-corner Detroit-style pizza and a bottle of the chain's ranch dressing. The promotion was available at Jet's Pizza locations throughout Michigan through February 5.[23][24]
The pair renewed their partnership with Jet's Pizza during their summer 2026 Michigan tour. According to Jet's, the original promotion generated more than six million social media views and resulted in the sale of more than 8,000 specialty pizzas. The second promotion featured competing meals selected by Cauldwell-Clarke and Riley: Cauldwell-Clarke's consisted of an Ultimate Pepperoni eight-corner pizza with Cajun ranch, while Riley's consisted of a barbecue chicken eight-corner pizza with ranch. Both were offered at participating Michigan locations from August 1 through 14.[25] During the promotion, the pair filmed at a Jet's Pizza location in Marquette, which the company reported had a 36 percent year-over-year sales increase during the collaboration.[26]
Mail Club

In 2026, Josh and Jase launched the Josh & Jase Mail Club, a monthly subscription service based around their travels in the United States. Each edition is themed around one of the duo's trips and includes a letter from the pair, collectible postcards and stickers, local recommendations and access to members-only video content.[27]
The first edition was themed around Michigan, coinciding with the duo's summer 2026 tour of the state. The edition included two Michigan-themed stickers depicting the Mackinac Bridge and an apple blossom, Michigan's state flower.[28]
Public reception
[edit]Josh and Jase's travel content has attracted substantial audiences in the United States. In 2024, Texas Public Radio reported that their informal meet-and-greets could attract hundreds of people, with Cauldwell-Clarke estimating attendance of approximately 600 to 700 at some gatherings.[1]
Their first extended visit to Michigan in January 2026 received significant attention from local media and communities. The Midland Daily News described the trip as having developed beyond travel content into a "community moment", reporting packed public appearances and widespread interest as the pair travelled through the state.[29] During their visit to Marquette, local media reported that fans sought out the pair at businesses they visited and gathered to meet them.[16]
The pair continued to receive public and institutional recognition during their summer 2026 return to Michigan. During a visit to Lansing, fans met them at several stops around the city, and Mayor Andy Schor proclaimed July 28 "Josh and Jase Day".[30] Local organizations and businesses also publicly encouraged the pair to visit their communities during their Michigan tours.[29]
Their reception has not been uniformly positive. Ahead of an August 2026 visit to Traverse City, negative comments about the pair appeared in local social media groups. Cauldwell-Clarke and Riley responded publicly, disputing claims that destinations paid them to visit and saying that their interactions with residents in person had remained positive despite the online criticism.[5]
