Mia Silverman is an American food allergy advocate and content creator. She has over 50 food allergies.[1] She has stated she was bullied for her allergies in elementary school and beyond.[2]
She attended the University of California, Berkeley, and began creating content on TikTok during COVID-19, focused on her allergies.[2] She utilizes the TikTok username theallergicgirl. Her videos often discuss the struggles of people with allergies. By 2022, she had more than 80 thousand followers.[3]
In January 2026, she posted a video of herself informing flight crew of her allergies. It went viral, and while she received support, she also received many comments accusing her of overreacting or of faking her allergies. She stated that the comments "just reinforces why I do this work in the first place".[4]
Also in January 2026, Silverman announced the launch of her podcast The Food Allergy Brain.[5]
