| Should the paragraph concerning FIR No. 428 be updated to mention that the Punjab and Haryana High Court granted Rampal regular bail in April 2026, while retaining that the case remains pending?
The current paragraph states that FIR No. 428 “is still pending” and that “the trial is ongoing.” Subsequent independent reporting states that the Punjab and Haryana High Court granted Rampal regular bail in April 2026 after more than eleven years in custody. I previously added this subsequent development, but it was reverted as part of a rollback of eleven edits with the summary “Puffery”. I raised the rollback above on 2 September and have not received a response. My proposed approach would not state or imply that Rampal was acquitted in FIR 428 or that the proceedings ended. It would retain the pending status and simply add the subsequent bail development to the chronology. | Should Mike Rogers's c. 2005 official House portrait remain as the infobox image, or should it be replaced with a suitable more recent freely licensed image?
I support replacing the current image. It is 20+ years old and dates to his House tenure, which ended more than a decade ago. Rogers is now the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Michigan, after also being the party's nominee in 2024. More recent freely licensed images are available, including post-Congress images from 2015 and 2016. I am not proposing that any particular replacement must be used -- just that a more recent photograph of a prominent, active Senate candidate would be appropriate. | Just restarting this RfC after the discussion above with @Midnightblueowl and @Pincrete in regards to proposing a minor modification to the last sentence of the lead paragraphs in the featured article.
I believe the current sentence as it stands remains vague and generic in terms of highlighting the specific praise and criticism attributed to Lenin. Option A) "A controversial and highly divisive historical figure, Lenin is viewed by his supporters as a champion of socialism and the working class. Meanwhile, Lenin's critics accuse him of establishing a totalitarian dictatorship which oversaw mass killings and political repression." I propose Options B and C which are reflective of my earlier discussion thread with the two aforementioned users above. Option B) ""A controversial and highly divisive historical figure, Lenin is viewed by his supporters as a champion of revolutionary socialism and anti-imperialism. Meanwhile, Lenin's critics accuse him of establishing a one-party dictatorship which oversaw political repression and mass killings." Option C) "A controversial and highly divisive historical figure, Lenin is viewed by his supporters as a champion of revolutionary socialism and the working class. [edit]There is an editorial conflict on how the Bishops of Rome that existed before the East–West Schism should be described in their short descriptions. Both Roman Catholics and Eastern Orthodox claim ecclesiastical continuity with the Great Church that existed from 380 to at least 1054. Both of them believe that they are the One True Church that Jesus established in his ministry. While the exact date is disputed, controversies over whether the Bishop of Rome possesses universal supreme jurisdiction over every other bishop, the Photian schism, the attempted excommunications of Michael I Cerularius and Pope Leo IX, Massacre of the Latins, Sack of Constantinople, and a range of other theological and ecclesiastical disagreements led each to be not in communion with the other by 1215. According to historian Peter Heather, the conclusion of the Fourth Council of the Lateran is the moment when the mutual schism was sealed.
Different theological and historical views have led to a slow-motion, and long-term, edit war lasting for at least a decade between dozens of editors on exactly how the authority of the early Bishops of Rome should be described.
