Strontiumkromaatti (SrCrO4) on strontium- ja kromaatti-ionien muodostama epäorgaaninen ioniyhdiste. Yhdistettä käytetään väriaineena.
Ominaisuudet, valmistus ja käyttö
[muokkaa | muokkaa wikitekstiä]Huoneenlämpötilassa strontiumkromaatti on keltaista kiteistä ainetta. Yhdisteen alkeiskoppi on monokliininen. Aine liukenee vain hieman veteen, mutta liukenee paremmin happoihin. Strontiumkromaatti on voimakas hapetin ja karsinogeenista.[3][4][1][5]
Strontiumkromaattia valmistetaan saostamalla vesiliukoisten strontiumsuolojen liuoksista kromaattien avulla tai strontiumhydroksidin ja kromihapon reaktiolla.[3][4][1]
Strontiumkromaattia käytetään väriaineena taiteilijaväreissä, PVC-muovin värjäämiseen sekä erityisesti alumiinin korroosionestomaaleissa.[3][4][1][6][7][8]
