whyyy dont i remember this.

after world war two, which two countries no longer existed?

i remember learning this way back in middle school, high school, etc. but i can't think of it for some reason. (its for my german homework.-- welche zwei GroBmachte exisitierten nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg nicht mehr?)

searching for a quote

this might be a long shot, but does anyone have a copy of desolation angels by jack kerouac on hand? i meant to bring it back to the city with me, but forgot, and there's a quote in it that i can half remember.

its in book two, part two: passing through tangiers, france, and london (chap 52). he's talking, and he goes ' its something like [name] always said...'you have to revel in it' describing life, even the bad parts.

if anyone could look it up and comment with it, i would appreciate it sincerely. i really want to remember what it was!

because this was more fun than writing a paper about the history of berlin in german. photo from smithSC on dev art, lyrics from mum. i'm actually pretty happy with this, and i hope you guys give a couple of these songs a chance. :)
