Last month, four members from Malaya Seattle and affiliate orgs traveled to the Philippines on an Immersion Trip to understand the truth of what’s happening in the Philippines and witnessing the dire conditions of the Filipino people. Respective members immersed and lived with the farmers in Negros. There they talked with respective community members and leaders about the issues of farmers & land, the human rights situation under state repression, and seeing the peoples’ willingness to fight for what’s right.
Please join us as Malaya Movement Seattle where these four members will be sharing from their first immersion trip and sharing the human rights concerns and the people's defense of Philippine sovereignty.
