Make-up Match Request

"If a team does not have a player present for the next individual match, then forfeit points are awarded to the opponent." - OTM p. 26

"Team matches may be rescheduled if both Team Captains agree and receive approval from Local League Management." - OTM p. 26

Local League Management considers most make-up matches a sportsmanship privilege and the following limitations apply:
  • If the opposing Team Captain declines the make-up then the matches must be forfeited per the OTM.
  • The team requesting the make-up is on the hook for the forfeit if the match doesn't get played within 2 weeks for any reason at all.
  • No make-ups in the last 3 weeks of the session.
  • This form should be filled out by the team requesting the makeup match.  This doubles as the requesting team's acknowledgement that they must still forfeit if the match does not get played within 2 weeks for any reason at all.  Forward the email confirmation of the makeup match request to your opponent for their records.
  • Arrangements should be made at least 24 hours in advance if possible.
  • Teams should limit themselves to 3 Make-ups in a session.
Local League Management reserves the right reschedule matches if necessary for general public safety, limited other APA league obligations, or practical necessity reasons.  Teams are expected to accept forfeit(s) if they cannot field a full team due to most team-specific reasons (illnesses, travel, etc.).
