Overheard at work
I post these to my Twitter via text from work; if you have an account, add me and I'll add you back so you can see my updates. They're locked.
Those not in the US, though, will note that incoming texts from the US may cost them money and therefore Twitter may not be very efficient for them. In the interest of sharing with everyone, I'm copying these quotes to my LJ. I'll try to remember to do this more frequently as I tend to get at least one a week from my amazing kids.
Please note that D12 and D13 are the same person. He had a birthday at the end of December. D14's birthday was in November, and D9 will turn 10 in March. See here for a recap of who's who.
01 November 2007: D9, to the toy dinosaur with a runny nose I gave him today: 'Ooo, I can pick you up by your mucus.'
29 November 2007: D9 just told me, 'I have an exact replica of your brain at home in a jar. And when I shake it, it makes a jingly noise.'
04 December 2007: D14 says his current favourite song is Green Day's Blood, Sex and Booze. He listens to the beat and not the words, so I don't think he knows it's about BDSM.
04 December 2007: D12 got three stripes at karate instead of one because I taught him stuff in advance. He called me to say, 'Thank you thank you thank you!!!' Too cute.
27 December 2007: D13, referencing the oh so appetising looking leftover stuffing: 'Thank you for my cow dung.'
03 January 2008: D9 singing while playing Zoo Tycoon: 'We're stalking a hippie's head, hippie's head, hippie's head ...'
04 January 2008: D13: 'No one in this house knows how to work the remote except me.' D9, holding the remote: 'That's not true! ... What do I do?'
