Release list
ClaudeUsageBar 1.3.5
New time format: "Resets in 5d 23h". Reset times now show as a countdown instead of a date (switch back in Settings > Reset times), and your limit resets show when they expire. Also new: your Claude session credits, and an optional pace marker that shows if you're on track, thanks to @kev-flex. Still fully free, update in 2 clicks.
ClaudeUsageBar 1.3.4
New: the app now shows your free usage-limit resets from Claude, and until when you can use them. Still fully free, update in 2 clicks.
ClaudeUsageBar 1.3.3
Light mode is back! The app now matches macOS light and dark mode. Prefer one look? Pick System, Dark or Light in Settings > Appearance. Still fully free, update in 2 clicks.
ClaudeUsageBar 1.3.2
Adds an extra usage line showing what you've spent against your monthly limit. Still fully free, update in 2 clicks.
ClaudeUsageBar 1.3.1
Adds weekly Fable usage tracking, with its own bar in the popover. Still fully free, update in 2 clicks.
ClaudeUsageBar 1.3.0
New: Weekly Fable usage bar
Adds a separate weekly usage bar for the new Fable model, which Claude now counts against its own limit.
- Shows a dedicated "Weekly Fable (7 day)" bar in the popover
- Appears automatically only when your Fable usage is above 1% — stays hidden while idle to keep things tidy
- Reads Fable usage from Claude's current per-model limits format
Signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple.
Install: download ClaudeUsageBar-Installer.dmg, open it, drag ClaudeUsageBar to Applications.
ClaudeUsageBar 1.2.1
Reduces background network usage: update check now polls every 3 hours instead of every 5 minutes. Usage and Claude status still refresh every 5 minutes.
ClaudeUsageBar 1.2
What's new in 1.2
- Separate notification toggles for usage thresholds vs. Claude service status (both default on).
- Tutorial link added inside the session-cookie instructions.
- Infrastructure: the update-check now reads from GitHub directly instead of the website, so future scaling costs nothing.
If you're on 1.1 you'll see this update via the in-app banner.
ClaudeUsageBar 1.1
What's new in 1.1
Claude service status, right in the popup
- Live indicator shows whether Anthropic services are operational, degraded, or down (sourced from status.claude.com).
- During an incident: collapsible details with the official Anthropic update text, status badge (investigating / identified / monitoring), and "Updated X min ago".
- Smart filtering: pick which Claude services you care about (claude.ai, API, Console, Code, Cowork, Government). Issues with services you don't use never trigger an alert.
Auto-update notifications
- The app now checks for new releases automatically. When one's available, you'll see a Mac notification and a banner inside the popup with release notes and a Download button.
Other
- Refresh now re-fetches usage, status, and the update check together.
- Popup smartly resizes to its content — no more wasted empty space.
