MMPM — The MagicMirror Package Manager

MMPM is a command line and web-based package manager for MagicMirror. Modeled after apt, it simplifies installing, removing, upgrading, and managing MagicMirror packages — plus controlling MagicMirror itself — from either a CLI or a browser-based UI.

Features

  • Search, install, remove, and upgrade MagicMirror packages from the command line or web UI
  • Version pinning and rollback via mmpm.lock (mmpm rollback, mmpm sync)
  • Add private or unlisted packages to your local database as Custom Packages
  • Install, start, stop, and restart MagicMirror (supports pm2 and docker-compose)
  • Hide and show MagicMirror modules on the fly
  • Live log streaming, database inspection, and a built-in doctor command for diagnostics
  • Tab completion for your shell

Getting Started

  1. Install MMPM: see the Installation page
  2. Run the guided setup: mmpm guided-setup walks you through configuring MMPM and installing the UI
  3. Refresh the package database: mmpm update
  4. Install something: mmpm add MMM-mmpm

For a quick reference of every subcommand (and their aliases), see CLI Commands.
