VibeAround v0.6.5 focuses on launch flow polish, richer bridge model configuration, new provider/agent coverage, and update visibility inside the desktop app.

Highlights

  • Reworked the desktop Launch page into a denser, selector-driven header with terminal, workspace, session, and profile controls in one compact flow.
  • Added a larger profile tile grid and moved new profile creation into the profile area so more configurations fit on one screen.
  • Added a GitHub release update indicator in the desktop title bar so users can see when a newer VibeAround build is available.
  • Added Pi Coding Agent support across direct launches, session resume, profile launches, onboarding, and terminal display.
  • Added bridge model lists so Codex and Claude bridge profiles can expose multiple agent-facing model choices while mapping them to upstream provider models.
  • Added or tightened provider support for Xiaomi MiMo, xAI / Grok, NVIDIA NIM, DeepSeek, Kimi/Moonshot, and custom endpoints.
  • Updated the README WeChat community QR code.

Fixed Issues

  • Fixed #119: bridge/proxy profiles can now define multiple model mappings, expose model choices to Codex and Claude, preserve context metadata, allow custom model names to pass through when unmapped, and normalize Claude-style bracket suffixes before forwarding upstream.
  • Fixed #118: desktop now checks the latest GitHub release and shows an unobtrusive update link when a newer version is available.
  • Fixed #116: Codex compact behavior now receives provider model catalog/context-window metadata instead of falling back to unknown-model limits.
  • Fixed #94: MiMo bridge responses now handle provider-specific chat quirks, including null tool_calls shapes and reasoning/tool-call replay behavior.
  • Fixed #76: proxy settings now include agent and bridge controls, with per-profile bridge proxy opt-in gated by the Settings proxy switch.
  • Fixed #55: Pi Coding Agent is now available as a VibeAround agent with direct launch, resume, and profile-launch support.

Launch And Profile UX

  • Combined the top launch controls into a compact two-tile layout with a large localized Launch button.
  • Added selector popups for workspace, session, terminal, and profile details, including fixed quick actions for adding a workspace or starting a new session.
  • Added pointer cursors, workspace path tooltips, stable launch button transitions, and larger utility icons.
  • Made profile cards wider and clearer, moved default-setting actions into overflow menus, and showed explicit bridge routes when API bridge mode is enabled.

Providers And Bridge Behavior

  • Added per-bridge model-list editing in a dedicated popup while preserving the legacy upstreamModel / fakeModelId defaults for compatibility.
  • Added Codex model metadata catalogs and Claude model discovery support for bridge launches.
  • Added Xiaomi MiMo provider catalog entries, xAI / Grok Responses and Chat entries, and NVIDIA NIM OpenAI-compatible Chat Completions support.
  • Sorted provider catalog entries and refined provider logos across desktop and web pickers.
