First stable release, built for the DEV Hacktoberfest Weekend Challenge: Build for a Friend. The write-up is the post PaidYet: for the friend who says “kal bhej dunga”.

A Telegram bot that runs on your laptop and keeps reminding a friend until they pay.

What's in it

• Gemma 4 (e4b) via Ollama reads bill photos and Hinglish IOUs; plain code checks dates and amounts and decides what can be saved.
• One durable Temporal workflow per due: a retried read, Save/Fix/Paid/Snooze signals, and reminders that survive restarts (24.6 s late, not lost, with the whole stack stopped past the due time).
• Sentry agent tracing with no bill contents: invoke_agent, gen_ai.chat and execute_tool spans in one trace from Telegram through Temporal.
• Privacy: photos are deleted after reading; typed text never enters Temporal history.

Tested

138 unit tests, 5 integration tests on the real stack, and a live run in Telegram.

Known limits

• PDFs aren't supported; send a screenshot of the bill.
• Admin /remind and the reply to an unknown user weren't exercised live (the allowlist and /remind are unit-tested).
• Runs on one machine; there's no hosted instance.
