Superagent 2.1.0-beta.14
Superagent 2.1.0-beta.14
If the app has been crashing, there is now a way to tell us why. In Settings → Advanced, next to the logs, Copy diagnostics puts one block of text on your clipboard: the version and your Mac, when the app started (a restart after a crash shows as a start), the crashes and hangs it noted, and the macOS crash reports that name Superagent from the last week, cut down to what says why. Paste it into a message. None of your conversations is in it.
The app now writes down its own crashes. A window that goes white, a helper process that dies, a window that stops answering, and an error nobody caught each leave a line in the log, where before there was nothing to read.

A huge message no longer takes the iPhone app down. A conversation with megabyte-sized messages (a pasted log, a whole file) could not be opened on the phone: it was sent every character of them. The Mac now sends the phone the first 60,000 characters of any one message and says how much it left out. The window still shows all of it.

The ring round the agent's logo shows your usage limit, not the conversation's memory. It is how much of the account's allowance is used, in the window nearest its limit: grey, amber from 75%, red from 90%. Hover the logo for the percentage, when it resets, and the memory as a line below it. The same ring is on iPhone and iPad.

One conversation can no longer clear away another's simulator. The guard already stopped a command that named another conversation's device. It missed commands that reach every device without naming one: simctl shutdown all, erase all and delete all, a list of simulators piped into xargs or a loop, and killall Simulator. They are refused now, with a note to use the conversation's own device.
Memory is a ring round the agent's logo in a narrow message box. It is grey, amber from 75% and red from 90%. Hover the logo for a card with memory, agent, mode and account. The same ring is on iPhone and iPad.
The small simulator in a narrow split window has no Snip button over its screen.
The Mac now tells the phone about its splits, so the iPhone shows them as a grid.

A message of several lines no longer leaves a gap. In a narrow window the lines were still indented to make room for the agent's logo, which had already moved to the strip below. They now start at the left edge.
Fixed three tests that had gone out of date, so the full suite is green again. No change to how the app behaves.

Chats that belong to no project can join a split. "Open in Split", dragging, and ⌘K now work for a loose chat the same as for a project's chat. Before, the split quietly dropped it. They show as "Chats" in the window's title.
Rename a project. Double-click its name in the sidebar, or choose Rename… from its menu. Only the name in Superagent changes; the folder keeps its name. On iPhone and iPad, hold a project and choose Rename.
Move a chat into or out of a project. Right-click a chat and choose Move to, then a project or Chats. On iPhone and iPad, hold the chat. A chat that has been used keeps its conversation: the next message hands the new project's agent the conversation so far. A chat working on its own branch stays with its project.
Split windows can be dragged by their title, not only the small grip.
iPad: tap the conversation to dismiss the keyboard, also when a hardware keyboard is connected. A draft you were typing stays.
Update after your tasks is a small chip at the top of the chat instead of a bar across it. Hover for the full sentence, click × to cancel.
⌘K results can be dragged onto the window to make a split.

Splits are easier to recognise. Each sidebar row has a larger layout thumbnail with the projects' icons, the conversation names underneath, and a status dot when a chat is working or needs you.
iPhone conversations can catch up past a broken emoji. A tool summary cut halfway through an emoji could stop the phone reading that event and every newer message. The Mac now repairs malformed Unicode before sending it, including in previously saved conversations. No iOS update is needed for this fix.

The ⌘ numbers no longer get stuck. Taking a screenshot (⌘⇧4) could leave every window's ⌘1–⌘8 badge on screen for good. They now go away the moment ⌘ is not held, whatever swallowed the key.
Go round the windows of a split with ⌘⇧] and ⌘⇧[, like tabs in Safari or Chrome. Holding ⌘ now also lists every key that moves between windows along the bottom.
A tidier simulator in narrow windows. Home, Lock, App Switcher, Rotate, Fold and Open in Simulator move into the simulator's ⋯ menu when its pane is narrow, leaving the device picker, ⋯ and close.
Superagent 2.1.0-beta.6
Superagent 2.1.0-beta.6
A quieter message box in narrow windows. In a window of a split, or a chat beside a page, the chat's settings are now just the agent's logo at the front of the message box — no line of their own under it. Press the logo to see and change the agent, model, mode and browser. A small dot on it says when memory is nearly full.
The sidebar stays put while you drag. Carrying a chat from Pinned or the list moves it up and down only; the sidebar no longer slides or scrolls sideways under it.

Superagent 2.1.0-beta.5
Nothing covers the conversation. The chat's ⋯ menu — New chat, Images, Keep and Throw away — now sits in the window's header (in a split, with the other tools that appear when you point at it), instead of floating over the first lines of the conversation.
