SJ the Sahil Joseph's Configurations

Operating System

  • Windows 11 Pro x64.
  • Update Windows & Apps.
  • Dark Mode everywhere.
  • Blue Dark Theme.
  • Windows color = Default Blue.
  • On Transparency Effect.
  • Always show scrollbar. Never hide. For all windows.
  • Turn Off Windows Snap Effects and suggestions, but enable snapping.
  • Turn Off Notifications at all.
  • Disable Auto Sleep, Screen Off.
  • Desktop & Lock Screen Wallpaper = wallpaper.png.
  • Disable AI 100% from everywhere.
  • Desktop should have no icons at all.
  • Lock Screen free from widgets and everything.
  • Taskbar should contain no pinned apps icons, only opened apps, long full name view, no search bar, no task view button, no widgets icon, and always combine icons, and left alignment.
  • Taskbar Size Standard, Not small.
  • Taskbar should have all possible icons on right side.
  • Other system tray icons = Enable all. No Dropdown stuff.
  • Start Menu default doesn't matter.
  • Alt + Tab should work with application windows not with their tabs.
  • Turn off auto correct, and all, just highlight misspelled word. That's it.
  • UnInstall Microsoft OneDrive & CoPilot etc.
  • Notepad: Disable AI, Fonts: Cascadia Mono 13 pt / 17 px.
  • Advanced options: Enable almost every advanced option.
  • Enable Developer Mode.
  • PowerShell change execution policy.
  • Rest Defaults.

Style:

  • Open any windows either in maximized mode, or in split (left or right doesn't matter). 99.9% cases.
  • Always Fonts: Cascadia Mono 13 pt / 17 px.
  • Cursor: Wherever possible, Line Bar Cursor (|).
  • No AI at all for working.
  • Alt + Tab = Switch Windows.
  • Win + Arrow Keys = Window Positions.
  • Learn the workspace. Learn & Create the keymaps. And use as much keymaps as possible. Master them.
  • Win + Search = Search Application to launch or Start Menu.

Text Style:

  • All formatting = Braces and stuff on next line.

  • snake_case, Pascal_Snake_Case, prefix_Pascal_Snake_Case, for almost everything. For everything.

Visual Studio Community 2026:

  • Always Full Screen Size Launch.
  • Download and Install Visual Studio Community 2026 with (C/C++ (Desktop Development with C/C++, Game Development with C/C++)).
  • Sign In using Microsoft / GitHub Account.
  • Sync.
  • Disable All AI related Features.
  • Extensions = (VS Block Jumper).
  • Fonts (Editor and Terminal & All): Cascadia Mono 13 pt / 17 px.
  • Disable highlight current line.
  • Cursor: Line Bar Cursor (|).
  • Solution Explorer and Git Change = Left Side.
  • Theme = Default Dark 2026.
  • Indent = Use tabs and 4 size.
  • Word Wrap Off.
  • Multiple Row Tab On & Do scroll with scroll wheel on tabs.
  • File Tabs in multiple tab row by recent sequence.
  • File standard tab size 200.
  • Don't automatically close "([{<...etc.
  • Always "Show all files" no filters.
  • Disable Auto Backup File stuff.
  • Disable bracket pair colorize.
  • Default Projects folder = C:\Users\sjthe\Projects.
  • Disable Code Half Screen Preview stuff. (sticky scroll).
  • Smooth Scrolling Off.
  • Toolbar (Standard, Text Editor, Debug)(All of them Checks (Only Standard until Find)).
  • Show code IntelliSense suggestions only when press Alt + ,, & Alt + ., and only accept suggestion LSP manually using TAB.
  • Only accept code IntelliSense suggestions when press "Tab". "Enter" for new line always.
  • View: Left Side (not auto hide) = Solution Explorer, Git Changes, Notifications.
  • View: Bottom (auto hide, height = 5 lines) = (OutPut, PowerShell, Error List, Task List, Bookmarks).
  • Other Windows below, and auto hide, height = 5 lines.
  • Track Active Item in Solution Explorer.
  • Ctrl + Up/Down & Ctrl + Shift + Up/Down = Paragraph Navigation.
  • Settings = VsSettings.vssettings & VsSettings.json.

Terminal:

  • Windows Terminal old CMD or PowerShell.
  • Make this default.
  • Always half Screen Size Launch.
  • Color theme (Love is an Illusion) for all BG: #071307, FG: #90B080, Selection Color: #0000ff.
  • Font: Cascadia Mono 13 pt / 17 px.
  • Line Height = 1.0.
  • Cursor: Line Bar Cursor (|). "#40ff40".
  • Scrollbar Always Visible.
  • Use as many tabs.

Git for Windows:

  • Setup with GitHub using SSH.
  • Use Git stuff from Terminal / Text Editor / IDE.

File Explorer:

  • Default Windows File Explorer.
  • Always half Screen Size Launch.
  • Show hidden items and folders with full extension.
  • Show full path in title bar.
  • Launch in "This Pc".
  • Don't pin anything except defaults and "sjthe" folder and "Projects" folder.
  • Don't show recently used or frequently used stuff in sidebar.

Browser:

  • Download and Install Google Chrome.
  • Always Full Screen Size Launch.
  • Make this default for everything.
  • System Dark Theme default.
  • New Tab Page = Default but empty.
  • Sign In & Sync.
  • Extensions = (UBlock Origin, Vimium).

Backup:

  • Use Google Drive as primary cloud storage.
  • Manually create and work with files and folders.
  • Organize all data using folders, etc... (old way, manually).
  • Google Photos for Photos and Videos.

Google GSuit:

  • Use Google GSuit like Spreadsheet, Docs, etc... from Browser.
  • Always Full Screen Size Launch.

VLC Media Player:

  • Download and Install VLC Media Player.
  • Always Full Screen Size Launch.
  • Use VLC Media Player for almost every media thing.

Adobe:

  • Always Full Screen Size Launch.
  • Download and Install Photoshop Latest. Use Darkest Theme.
  • Download and Install After Effects Latest. Use Darkest Theme.
  • Download and Install Premiere Pro Latest. Use Darkest Theme.
  • Download and Install Lightroom Latest. Use Darkest Theme.
  • Download and Install Audition Latest. Use Darkest Theme.
  • Download and Install Acrobat Latest. Use Darkest Theme.

Blender:

  • Download and Install Blender Latest.
  • Always Full Screen Size Launch.
  • Use Darkest Theme.

  • Install with all checkboxes.

Mail Client:

Music:
