I never thought I would be writing something like this.
My name is Craig Ames, and right now I’m fighting to keep a roof over my head while dealing with serious health issues and a broken disability system that has left me without income.
I live with severe back deterioration that limits my mobility and makes physical labor nearly impossible. On top of that, I struggle with chronic panic attacks that make working in public-facing jobs extremely difficult.
Because of these conditions, I applied for disability benefits. Despite my situation, I have been repeatedly denied and am now stuck in the long appeal process. Anyone who has gone through this knows how slow and frustrating the system can be.
While waiting for my appeal, my income has essentially stopped.
I do run a small creative business called CCS Mascots, where I design mascot and costume characters. It’s something I love doing and continue to work on when my health allows, but business has been extremely slow, and sales simply aren’t enough to cover basic living expenses right now.
Because of this, I have fallen behind on rent and essential bills, and I’m now facing the very real possibility of eviction within the next month if I can’t catch up.
I am asking for help to get through this incredibly difficult time.
Donations will go toward:
• Catching up on overdue rent
• Keeping utilities and essential bills paid
• Basic living expenses while I wait for my disability appeal decision
I’ve always tried to handle things on my own, and asking for help is incredibly hard for me. But right now I’m at a point where I simply can’t get through this alone.
If you’re able to donate, even a small amount could make a huge difference in helping me stay housed and stable while I fight through the disability process.
If you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser could help it reach someone who can.
Your support, kindness, and even just taking the time to read this truly means more than I can express.
Thank you so much.
