As I approach my 30th birthday, I’ve found myself reflecting on what truly matters. This year, instead of celebrating in the usual way, I felt a quiet pull to do something more meaningful something that could reach beyond me and make a difference, even in a small way.

Mental health is a cause that lives very close to my heart. Over time, I’ve come to understand how deeply conditions like schizophrenia and bipolar disorder can affect not only the person experiencing them, but also the people who love and care for them. It’s a journey that is often invisible to the outside world complex, misunderstood, and at times incredibly isolating.

There is someone in my life who has been a constant source of love, strength, and guidance someone who played a huge role in shaping who I am today. Through that connection, I’ve witnessed the realities of mental health in a way that has changed me. It has taught me compassion on a deeper level, patience in moments of uncertainty, and the importance of showing up, even when you don’t have the right words or solutions.

I’ve learned that sometimes, we’re not meant to fully understand everything we go through but to grow through it, and, where we can, to support others walking a similar path. My faith has helped me see that even the most difficult experiences can carry purpose, and that kindness, awareness, and support can go further than we think.

This fundraiser is my way of honouring that. It’s for those living with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and other mental health conditions and for the families who stand beside them, often quietly, doing their best.

If you choose to support this, please know that it means more to me than any gift I could receive. Turning this milestone into something that helps others would truly be the greatest gift.

Thank you for taking a moment to read this, and for being part of something that matters.
