Islamic Relief Australia partners with Greenvale Community Group. Together we will help nurture the growing Muslim community in the area and its surrounds. This includes providing programs centred around education, family and youth support, and community welfare. All of which are inclusive programs that benefit people of all backgrounds.
Greenvale Community Group was established to provide and maintain a community facility. One that supports cultural, spiritual, educational, and charitable activities for people of all backgrounds. It also gives local charitable groups a space to run events, workshops, and meetings that align with Islamic and philanthropic values.
Guided by the core values of service, inclusivity, education, community, integrity, and excellence, Greenvale’s mission is to strengthen individuals, families, and communities through educational and social programs. It’s work spans lifelong learning, leadership development, youth engagement, intercultural and interfaith understanding. As well as broader community wellbeing initiatives, with an emphasis on keeping the facility accessible to all members of the community.
Greenvale supports educational development for children and youth, leadership and mentorship programs, community education initiatives, and moral and character development.
Our core educational programs support foundational learning, youth development, and follow an Islamic studies curriculum. It aims to guide young people and families through resilience, understanding, and deen.
Greenvale is working to grow a thriving community hub. This will enable the long-term delivery of youth support, wellbeing, supervised recreation, civic participation, family engagement, and broader community development activities.
