Loving this take on Minesweeper!

Expanding it to a full mine and making it so you walk around in it is such a simple yet delightful twist on the game! Even before I got into upgrades and items, it's a very relaxing game (despite the looming statistical death surrounding you, haha)

So far I'm really enjoying this. It'll be fun to see where the ancient ruins and bodies of water and other discoveries go in future updates. Can't wait to see what else gets added in! Keep up the great work!

这款游戏什么时候能支持在安卓系统上运行?😭

has some performance issues , graphics like this shouldnt require a graphics card

It doesn’t require a graphics card

Awesome game, but need some help.  I unlocked treasure chests, and the first 1 opened with no issue, but the next one has keys and numbers, can you explain that?  Are the numbers indicating how many of the neighbor spots need to be pressed to be unlocked? Providing a screenshot of the puzzle.

非常棒的游戏,扫雷结合挖矿升级,扫雷本身已经很好玩了,再加上养成升级使得游戏性更强了     An excellent game that combines Minesweeper with mining and leveling up. Minesweeper is already fun on its own, but adding character development and progression makes the gameplay even more engaging

One of the most fun games I've found on Itch, and a brilliant take on Minesweeper with addictive roguelike elements. I will say that I can imagine getting very frustrated if I struggled more with the actual Minesweeping part, because the unbreakable walls the bombs leave behind seem like they could easily softlock a more inexperienced player. Something worth considering as you move forward. But I'll be spending a lot more time with this demo

Really fun game! Found myself getting WAY into it even for a demo. Only critique is maybe streamlining the item usage? I found it to be a little more menuing than is comfortable, but otherwise a very chill game to pick away at! +1 for furries as well!

I love the game, but is there anyway to get rid of the black tiles after an explosion. I find them to be blocking information and generally making a mess of my map

Way too tedious.

cool idea

I lovee this game so far. Sad to have checked steam and it be demo only </3

You can wishlist it to be notified when it releases!

I did :D

It didn't save.

Me encanta este juego, es entretenido y para pasar el tiempo

honestly im kinda dumb at minesweeper

No geral, porém, gostei bastante do jogo. É uma ideia criativa, bem executada e com bastante potencial. Estou curioso para acompanhar a evolução e ver como ficará na versão 1.0!

This is a wonderful game and a great expansion of the Minesweeper concept.

The sprites are beautiful and readable, animations are fluid and give great feedback, and the gameplay is simple but addictive (just like the original Minesweeper).

My only small issues with it are that the red paint bucket felt a little pointless when I can flag walls individually for free, and that the numbers and flags are offset from one another, so the "grid" isn't as visible at a glance.

Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed it and I'm excited to see its progress to a 1.0 release!

(+1)

I’m really confused how to use the red paint bucket? I can place it down on a number and it doesn’t do anything. I’ve tried places where I know there has to be a bomb there, but nothing has happened.

(+1)

It will only highlight surrounding walls if the number you place it on matches the number of remaining walls around it (eg. place it on a number 3 with only 3 walls around it, then it will flag all 3 of those walls).

Oh that makes more sense. I don’t think the instrustions were very clear on that.

I love this game, I'm a big fan of minesweeper and this game just adds a fun mindless addition to it. I have only one issue with this game so far: When you strike an explosion it creates these black indestructible black blocks, this takes so much of the fun out. I understand wanting to give a punishment and I do see the value in not allowing the player to use that area. But i think that the explosion not only: Killing you and removing a fee, destroying any possible ore at the area and creating these black blocks which make it really hard to determine which blocks around it are bombs or not, is too much. I think removing the black blocks and making that area fully cleared of everything, maybe  also making it so you lose half of your inventory, plus fee, would be a better punishment.

This is how it used to work, but then when you have nothing in your inventory it means you can just clear the whole world by dying repeatedly, which defeats the point of minesweeper

(1 edit)

They could do that yeah, but in a singleplayer game, balancing isn't about removing all easy ways to do something. Just walking around with nothing and clearing everything is easy, sure, but it's not fun.
If the player wants to do that (in a singleplayer game), let them. There's no real reason to prevent them from doing it.

And game design isn’t about letting players play with no rules, it’s about solving problems.

As soon as players find out you can clear the whole world without repercussion, they will do exactly that, they will get bored, and they will get mad at me for making a boring game.

If given the chance, people will optimize the fun out of the game. Rules don’t exist to annoy players, they exist to protect players from themselves.

Hi I am playing this game for the first time on web, and the game stuck a little bit when I got the first ore, and the first explosion. I guess that has something to do with the shader compilation.
How I solved it in my game is throwing the scene with shader materials in the start menu (but you might have already done that, cuz it is quite slow loading the game, which is fine).

Love the game!

(Sadly my open tabs ended up consuming too much memory while playing this. Misclicks are mostly my fault... those numbers could be a little clearer and less skewed in position.)

(+1)

You can change how the numbers look in the settings

To create a small mobile game based on this one, all that would be missing is a directional pad and a separate A/B button in the center.

The full version will be available for mobile as well!

this is awsome!! probably my favorite way to play minesweeper ive found so far. when playing regular minesweeper i always found myself imagining the board as an environment because the shapes it would make were almost organic looking, and having this actually look like an environment and having to physically move around to play it adds so much mystery to the level. cant wait for the full release!

(+1)

the difficulty was perfect for me and i liked having a bit of stakes, but i do play alot of minesweeper, so maybe a difficulty for people who havnt played much minesweeper could be good?

i liked that there wasnt so much focus on the upgrades because i find just upgrading to progress feels kind of hollow, i felt like it complemented the game(sorta broke it up a bit, gave a bit more variety)  withought taking away from the minesweepering. i also liked that there is the rail system as opposed to a speed increase, it adds some extra strategy.

something i didnt like was the shade of red used for the flags, they were too close in value to the ground color and would kind of blend in unless i was focusing on them, i wish they were a bit darker or adjustable. i also wouldnt have found out i could right click to flag if i wasnt familiar with minesweeper already, (i dont know who isnt... but you never know ig) so that might be another thing to keep in mind for beginner players

(+4)

The idea is interesting, however the gameplay loop feels way too sluggish at the beginning. The prices should be lower and maybe dirt should sell for something so the player still feels like they are making progress even if they haven't gotten lucky with the world generation.

This is a really gret version of an old game =) Good work.
But got to be honest: I've played it in my lunch break at work and would always do again. But i can't have software on this PC, so i won't be able to buy it which is sad. (At home i've got plenty of games and hardly time)

How do you open the locked chests? I am too dumb to figure out the codes

(+1)

It's a mini-minesweeper (which isn't always clearly to finish, a bit luck seems to be neccessary)

Ah thanks for the hint!

(1 edit) (-1)

I like it, but I wish there was an early upgrade to reduce the cost of damage. It's too brutal. Also, there should be an option to dig diagonally.

EDIT: the game is overall unfair and very unbalanced. Needs a lot of work.

(1 edit)

You can change the penalty in the settings

Hi, I played your game and made a video about it. Just wanted to let you know.

I like the demo so far, can't wait for the next patch or update.

This time it takes unusually long. Everything okay?

The main game mechanics are mostly done. Right now I’m focusing on adding content for the full game and balancing the economy, which is what takes the longest. I also work 9-5, so updates usually occur during weekends or evenings.

Thanks for the reply. I was worried you might have fallen ill or something similar. It’s good to hear you’re doing well. Please don’t let me rush you.

I just started playing the demo again on Steam and I am LOVING the recent updates! Thank you for adding the save and load feature! <3

Cool

I'm actually kind of sad that my upgrade progress saved when I started a new game. I liked the process of working from nothing and upgrading, and I wanted to do that again. Maybe this is a setting that could be changed/personalized in future updates?

That aside, I LOVE this game. It scratches my brain just right, and I could play it for hours. Excited to see what else is to come!

You can technically delete the save file manually if you want (It’s at %APPDATA%/Dynamine on Windows or ~/.local/share/Dynamine on Linux).

I think resetting all upgrades when you start a new level will make the game extremely grindy, especially when harder levels are added.

(1 edit)

Love this game, it's the one that reintroduced me to mine sweeper, but I wanted to add something that happened to me once. So I died in the black section, but when I came back, this happened? It's unmineable so I dunno (also it survives me leaving and coming back)

It’s what happens when you hit a mine.

Very fun liked it a lot but I made too much mistakes after playing for a long time so never managed to get the 4999 upgrade

You can decrease the penalty for dying in the settings if you want

(+1)

Only played a bit so far but I GOTTA say this is freaking awesome so far! I'm not the best at Minesweeper but it's still fun! I love the lil protag, too. They're adorable! Great spritework, music and idea!

(+1)

Easily one of the best games here. I can't wait for the steam full release !

I found an infinite dirt glitch.

If I mine that number with the excavator, I get infinite dirt from the bomb I misclicked.

Here’s a 3 dirt generator near start I built as a proof of concept. Very tedious, would not recommend for infinite money.

(1 edit) (+2)

I'm enjoying playing but I think the progress is a bit too slow and hitting the bombs is too punishing (especially since it could happen by missclicking)

(+1)

Very fun game!
The only issue I have with it is that  sometimes it's hard to see a number and due to similar colors you can for example mistake 4 for 1 (happened few times for me).

(+1)

You can change the colours in the settings

(2 edits) (+1)

Oh yeah true. I'm just saying that with default settings, on grass with a bush or sth it's can be hard to see them but I can see now that there is an opacity setting too. Just wanted to give feedback.
Oh and autosave would be also good to have, closed a card and got send back like and hour to the yesterday's save

(+4)

Fun gameplay, but I feel like you have to wait a little too long to get a meaningful sense of progress.

(+1)(-2)

I think a lot of things are still messy, including the world generation.

I lost my save data in the upgrade, so I decided to get my tools back. I bought every single upgrade which is like 20,000 cash without finding the elevator exit, or the village biome, or the graveyard. Only some water and some grass.

If I were a new player I would feel very lost and confused.

(+1)

Definitely will buy when it gets released!
