I've been fooling around with my GIMP program. Having nothing but manga scans, I sifted through detective conan files and found a great ~icon spam theme just by looking at the different styles the author was using. I am in the process of putting together my favorite Detective Conan manga moments and it's making me want to read the scans again.

Let me explain: In detective conan, there are often little graphics of the characters inside keyholes. I duplicated this shape on gimp and have a template for all my icons. Two of my favorite colors are being used, too!

For other people who have done anime/manga icons, how do you choose/discover themes for icon sets?
