    Descrizione
    English: The coat of arms or state emblem of Selangor. Designed in the reign of Sultan Abdul Samad, the yellow and red symbolises flesh and blood. The crescent and star represent Islam, the State religion. The red spear in the centre with a short kris to the right and a long kris to the left are part of the State regalia. The jawi script writing expresses the State motto meaning "Under the protection of Allah". Below the motto is the broad belt or sash worn at the waist by warriors in the past.

    • Works by the government, governmental organisations and international organisations are subject to copyright for 50 years after publication: sections 11 and 23.
    • Regardless of the above, the texts of laws, judicial opinions, and government reports are always free from copyright: section 3 (definition of literary work).
    (All 50-year durations are computed from the beginning of the calendar year next following the year in which the work was first published or made. In other words, as of 2026, works published prior to 1 January 1976 are now in the public domain.)
