While I would not suggest this whatsoever, its one thing to use Ai to come up with references or ideas, and then drawing that character in pixel art from the ground up. But simply creating Ai images and then tracing them, or converting said image to pixelart and polishing it up is essentially using that generated image outright, and would be against TOS.
