oh my gosh thank you for the thorough review!! actually, i was only a preschooler in 2009 myself (and so were the other devs), so i completely understand what you mean about the dialogue in the chatroom not feeling authentic enough. i’ll try to do more research in the future to lessen that effect! :D and i get the feeling about the demo having too much bloat too… it was meant to make the player feel a little bored, but since i published it in a rush without a proper editing/trimming pass, i can see how it slowed everything down more than it needed to.

i hope that didn’t sour the experience for you, and that you’ll still come back to check out chapter one whenever it releases!! but even if you don’t, i am genuinely thankful for the thoughtful and helpful critique 💕

uploaded a minor bug fix! some stuff was bugging me LOL (get it.. ok) don't wanna write a whole devlog, but:

- the code to the chatroom is D4AJO3Y0MK00Y5 you can copy and paste it in! 

- like i mentioned on the page, the save/load mechanic is currently BROKEN for the chatroom. it should work fine outside of it!

just a little reminder though guys... even though the prologue isn't extreme, please always check out the content warnings before diving in to vns that have them! i've gotten a few concerning tumblr asks over the past few weeks that could've been avoided if people just read the cws </3 i know it's a bit boring and you just want to chat with the love interests right away, but if you know certain content harms you please stay safe ... ₍ᐢ. .ᐢ₎

ling you genuinely cook every single time…! the writing in this is nothing short of beautiful. loving decays was also a banger (i think i forgot to leave a comment for it though lol, my bad). you have such a gift for making characters and settings feel real!

yeah it is part of the game! in wan2talk?, the mc is a community college student with a decent but kinda distant relationship with their parents and is generally a nice regular person. ofc as the player you're free to tweak or headcanon whatever fits your oc/self lol. i totally understand if that makes it hard to self-insert though, i don't have the best sleep schedule myself so i understand

unfortunately we aren’t planning to make this game for android. there is a playthrough on youtube, though, and i know that people have successfully emulated it!
