That would be a great idea! Perhaps an exchange with people from the original team might help. John Hare has visited Germany a few times—for instance, at Gamescom 2014 and the Amiga 37 event—and he is still connected with us on Facebook. If it would be useful, we could reach out to him and bring this project to his attention. 😊

Very nice port, but unfortunately it became unplayable for us after only a short time, presumably due to an annoying bug. A shame, because otherwise the game makes a very good and flawless impression. Our German-language review can be found at 06:30:26. English subtitles are also available. Quite interesting action game in the style of "Desert Strike", but unfortunately there are still numerous graphical glitches and bugs that currently hamper the fun. Finally, a first-person shooter with a true sense of 3D speed for the Amiga, provided you have a sufficiently fast turbo card (anything below a 68060 is hardly worthwhile for a reasonably smooth gaming experience). In return, you get a very interesting game that offers not only shooter but also adventure parts. If only it weren't for the numerous graphical glitches, other bugs, and crashes. Significant improvements are needed here. Our German-language review can be found at 05:43:12. English subtitles are also available. 🙂
From a technical standpoint, this is one of the greatest shooters we've ever seen on the Amiga, both graphically and in terms of sound. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the actual game design, as there seem to be only 3-4 enemy types and formations that constantly repeat. This also applies to the background graphics, which only change color in the second level. It's a shame, because the game had real potential to become the shooter of the year for the Amiga. Currently, however, it simply doesn't offer enough to live up to that potential. Our German-language review can be found at 05:29:18. English subtitles are also available. Very nice and sensible improvements, even if it doesn't make it a new game. This is how the game should have looked back then. However, Ocean wasn't exactly known for good game adaptations of various film licenses. Our German-language review can be found at 05:10:04. English subtitles are also available. Despite the relatively high hardware requirements, this is a very clean arcade conversion that plays quite well with a turbo card. Unfortunately, the 2-player mode didn't work for us despite several attempts (this seems to be fixed now with the latest update). Otherwise, there's absolutely nothing to complain about. Very impressive platformer that already makes a very good impression, especially with its lovingly crafted graphics, which even adapt their colors depending on the game section and the ambient light – all using OCS. The parallax scrolling is also extremely smooth. We're really looking forward to the finished game. Our German-language preview can be found at 04:40:59. English subtitles are also available. A very simple but fun shooter that strongly reminded us of the public domain game "Space War" on the Amiga. For the relatively steep price of €4.99, however, one could have expected at least a 2-player mode. As it is, it remains just a rather short-lived pastime that is hardly worth its price. Very nice puzzle game, somewhat reminiscent of "Deflector," but offering considerably more cool and logical puzzles. It gets our "Innovation Bonus" for that. However, the graphics and sound could be a bit more modern. Our German-language review can be found at 04:15:01. English subtitles are also available. Nice puzzle game with an interesting gameplay concept that we haven't seen before. However, most of the levels are too short and simplistic. The graphics could also be more modern. 🙂
This game immediately reminded us of the Mega Drive classic "Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine." Furthermore, a clone called "Oyup!" was released a few years ago by Arlasoft on C64. This clone offers a few additional game modes and, thankfully, a fun 2-player mode as well. We highly recommend downloading it! Our German-language review can be found at 03:30:23. Very interesting strategy game that reveals a lot of potential once you get the hang of it. Our co-moderator was certainly quite impressed. The automatic REU support is also very commendable. Very interesting strategy game that at first glance reminded us of the classic board game "Stratego". However, you should allow a little more time to get used to it. Nice shooter, but compared to the original (1942 and 1943) it lacks a number of features and technical refinements. It's especially a shame that the looping (rolling) maneuver is no longer included in this version. Our German-language review can be found at 02:49:25. English subtitles are also available. Regarding the limited C64 memory, we would desperately like to see an expanded REU version of the game, even if it's not for free. This could include, for example, a 2-player mode for the cup mode, complete with extra time and penalty shootouts, as well as country and league selection. We would also greatly appreciate a save option for the cup mode and perhaps even a league mode. A CPU-accelerated version for all C64 Ultimate or Super-CPU users, including the missing player names, would also be very welcome.
Absolutely mind-blowing what they’ve managed to squeeze out of this machine. Both technically and in terms of gameplay, this title is a minor miracle; despite a few compromises, it retains nearly all the charm of the original. Alongside "MicroProse Soccer," it is quite simply the best football game ever seen on the C64. Our German-language review can be found at 02:29:40. English subtitles are also available. Very nice and extensive "Ultima" clone that leaves a highly polished impression; it offers exciting combat as well as a practical save function. The high-resolution graphics are also perfectly fine. All in all, the game left a consistently positive impression on us. Our German-language review can be found at 02:05:41. English subtitles are also available. 🙂
