Rascal ::excuse me while my eyes run dry::
I just feel like shit. Im pretty congested and my tummy is bothering me... also, Rascal (our first pet kitty) is dying. Im here all alone with him... and with my luck... hes going do die while im here watching him. Chances are, i'll vomit and then cry a lot more. I believe he has kidney disease or something along those lines.
It really sucks. Im stressing about school, family shit, my relationship with Bernie which seems to be diminishing, and now rascal is leaving us. None of this helps. At work today I messed up while writing a ticket, and Mike (the cook) just gave me a look... and i broke down and started to cry right there. Not just because 'i made a mistake' but because of all the shit going on right now.
This is the one drawback of getting a pet... you fall in love with the little critters and you cant picture what it would be like without them around. They do the cutest little things and you have to tell all your friends about the adorable stuff they do (despite the fact that they've heard it before, on the previous week). Your friends just smile while you sit there and giggle about it to yourself. Then oneday they get sick... or they just live out their lives... and they leave you. You love him/her with all your heart... and you come home to find them missing. You think to yourself that theyre just hiding somewhere... and you soon come to realize that they are indeed hiding...but now without life. Now everymorning when you wake up, you'll be expecting to see their little faces peering up at you... but you wont. All thats left are the memories and the photographs...
The unconditional love that comes from these creatures is amazing. If your ever sad, lonely, or even if you need someone to talk to... they're always there. I understand that they cant really comprehend what we're saying... but the gentle nudge of their nose on your hand... or a little kiss means the world (to me, at least). Our animals love continuously, and we continue to love them back... even after their passing.
Im going to miss Rascal so much...
