Itâs been over two years since I first came across this line, but for some reason, it still randomly comes back to me sometimes. Iâve wanted to draw fanart of this scene for so long, and I finally did :)
I must not respond to the bad take. Responding to the bad take is the mind-killer. Responding to the bad take is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face the bad take. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the bad take has gone there will be nothing. Only I (and my good takes) will remain.
bestie boo, let me fill you in on something: if you’re going to take any part of ‘good grammar’ and randomly assign it to She’s A Witch! AI, you might as well give up. It’s over. You’re cooked. Anyone who has spent the last decade or more learning to type properly, anyone who has spent any time writing articles/papers/essays that require you to use 'good grammar’ is going to fall into that 'oh no it might be AI’ trap.
Stop hunting like it’s 1692. You’re not going to find Goody Proctor at the ChatGPT sacrament. What you’re going to do is exactly what happened back then: harming people who’ve done nothing wrong.
Iâm starting to think my fundamental difference with many leftist spaces is that I have a basic understanding that things cost money and they do not.
Also, perhaps my basic understanding that social media is not a human right
Trying to figure out why this line so particularly annoyed me tonight and I think itâs just the general feeling in certain leftist spaces that everybody else is obligated to perform labor for you but you never have to give back.
Social media should be free, and it shouldnât have ads, and it shouldnât use data centers, and it should ban all the people I think are bad but not any of the people I think are good, and all the moderation should be done by humans so no false positives occur. How is a free service with no ads going to pay all those server costs and moderator salaries? Idk, stop simping for megacorps you bootlicker!
This bar should be inclusive of poor people and homeless people and immunocompromised people, which means everyone needs to mask all the time and anyone who says theyâre poor should be exempt from the cover charge and we should all make decisions about the bar as a community because otherwise itâs exclusionary and racist, but also I donât actually go to this bar and if the owner says theyâre making one night a week mask-optional because theyâre 50k in debt and homeless because they canât afford rent for the bar I will endlessly harass them
Community is dying and we need more third spaces and mutual aid is the most important thing a leftist can do and it should all be waiting there for me whenever I want it, but also I never leave my house and I wonât join any communities or do any volunteer work because committing to one or two nights a month is too much work
Everything is crap these days because itâs all cheap plastic shit made by exploited people overseas, but if you suggest that I stop buying plastic shit I donât need and invest in high-quality, ethically-made items for shit I do need then youâre an out-of-touch elite who doesnât understand how Americans are the most impoverished people on the planet
Doordash and Uber should be tightly regulated companies that pay their employees a living wage and also if they raise their prices they are LITERALLY trying to genocide poor people because no one should have to live without the ability to have hot, fresh food delivered straight to their door any time they want it
Like yeah, fine, I get it, you think everyone in the world should change the way they live so that you donât have to lift a finger. âTo each according to their need and from each whatever they feel like doing that day, but like, not if theyâre too tired or really craving a burrito or somethingâ is how Iâm pretty sure Marx put it
I honestly expected to see âWhat trying to tell a man anything is likeâ under the image and then âThe Masc of Amontilladoâ took me out at the knees.
