Choosing one picture? What madness! Have a big picspam of Who-ness instead.

Splendid chaps, all of 'em.

In related news: I hope you've all seen the epic DW props and costume auction of awesome by now. I WANT EVERYTHING! MOST OF ALL THE WHITE IMPERIAL DALEK.

Also: As of today, I have seen a total of 77 complete Old Who serials. GO ME! :D

And last but not least:

And now here he is - the man, the myth, the "comic book educated"

ETA: Ok, I really have to be off to bed now, but I'll be back to squee and flail with you guys as soon as I'm back from uni tomorrow. *leaves some booze for you all* Nighty night!

This is my 500th LJ entry...

2009-01-11T22:40:23Z

And it's a John Simm picspam for dexterette, which is definitely a worthy subject for a 500th entry. *nods*

So, the Globes later on... I hope I'll be able to stay awake. :)

♥♥♥

2008-11-14T09:33:16Z

I really, truly love how this picspam turned out. Three cheers for gorgeous HD-caps!

And in case somebody wants the original screencaps (which are pretty huge), I uploaded them HERE. (change xx to tt)

Excuse me while I FREAK THE FUCK OUT!

2008-11-11T09:46:30Z

The poster flood, it will not stop.
With this AND the new trailer coming up soon... I don't even know. I'll just be over here, making high-pitched noises.

Malin is so fucking pretty!

Why so tiny, Doc? :(

I WANT TO STEAL BUBASTIS! How adorable is she?

I really, really, really need this one!

Yep. This one, too. Damn you, JDM!

*more high-pitched noises*
*falls over*
*is dead*

Also, quite randomly, this:

ETA: I have to catch my train to uni now, although I'd rather stay and stare at these pretties for a little while longer. Squee you later! (I know, bad one. XD)

EDITED TO ADD high-res versions!

And some more Who-ness

2008-11-09T12:13:26Z

Well, now I've finally seen all of Five's serials. I think this definitely warrants a picspam. :)
And it even fits the current picspammy challenge!

Part 1

"Doctor, why do you wear a stick of celery in your lapel?"
"Does it offend you?"

Part 2

"We shall become the best of companions!"
"What do you say, Peri? We can go on nature walks, have picnics and jolly evenings 'round the campfire!"

Part 3

"We'll be touching down in a couple of minutes. Or more likely crashing down, you see I'm a bit out of practice with manual landings so if I were you, I'd find something firm to hang on to!"

Part 4

"What was that you always told me, Doctor? Brave heart?"
"You musn't die. Too many of your enemies would delight in your death."
"Turlough speaks the truth."
"You're needed, you musn't die, Doctor."
"You know that, you know that."

"Change, my dear, and it seems not a moment too soon..."

Did anyone order some pretty?

2008-09-10T02:54:59Z

I'm feeling quite a bit cranky at the moment, which probably has to do with the fact that I'll have to go to uni today to do some more research for my paper, and also with my sleeping patterns being way too fucked up right now.
So I've decided to spam you guys with some awesome people.

Featuring: Adrien Brody, Ewan McGregor, David Duchovny, Robert Downey Jr., Gillian Anderson, Kate Winslet, Aaron Eckhart, Josh Holloway, Neil Patrick Harris, Tennant & Stewart in Hamlet, and some Old School Star Wars love.

Attention, Stratford gang! ;)

Remember that one, Kat? :D

YAY Polonius! :D

<3

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! XD

Well, I'm still not the least bit tired, but at least I've got a huge grin on my face now. :)

So much for getting my UK trip post ready tonight...

2008-09-02T22:42:33Z

I watched The Fall last night, a movie that I wanted to see for quite a long time, and it definitely managed to live up to my expectations. It also is one of the pretties movies I've ever seen, so of course my inner picspam addict just couldn't resist.

I suppose I should also attempt a short reaction of sorts.
Like I already mentioned, this movie is absolutely stunning, even on my small computer screen it managed to completely take my breath away. I suppose you could really take any shot from the movie, frame it and hang it on your wall, it's just that pretty.

The acting is wonderful, both Catinca Untaru (How amazing is that girl, seriously!) and Lee Pace absolutely shine in their roles, and the whole supporting cast does a really good job, too. And yes, Julian Bleach is still nuts and I still love him for it.

The way in which the story was presented reminded me of Pan's Labyrinth a little bit, the trailer also rather made it seem like a fantasy story, while in fact, that fantasy story only is a means to reflect the actual plot, and Lee Pace's character pretty much makes it up as he goes along. Nevertheless, both stories, the real one and the fantasy tale, manage to have a considerable emotional impact.

So yeah, what can I say? The Fall is a lovely and fascinating little gem of a movie, and I really loved it.

Edited due to lack of capslock: OMG SO VERY AWESOME! <3 <3 <3

As for the picspam, it only focuses on the first half of the movie. As far as I can see, there are no major spoilers.

I seriously could watch them interact all day long. :)

I love Charles Darwin and his monkey!

And that is how you spell PWNED!

Unexpected Eiffel Tower! <3

She is so pretty!

I saw you at the show, I thought I'd seen a ghost

2008-08-26T22:52:59Z

In honour of the fact that my dear braintwin subtle__sarcasm actually saw the movie tonight (and loved it, which means that I'll most likely love it, too :D), I give you a long overdue Repo! picspam.

Last but not least, since I'm noticing a severe lack of Bill Moseley in this post:

And now I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that I will really manage to get tickets for the Munich screening. :D

As promised

2008-08-11T11:06:30Z

This one's for totallybalanced, because she's the queen of epic picspamming, and also completely made of awesome. *squishes*

... or how BoB rewatches make me hunt down things I wouldn't have seen otherwise, things I haven't seen in a very long time, and things I just can't see often enough. (Hi, Boomtown!)

The quality of my caps pretty much ranged from very bad to very good, so I apologize for any eventual crappiness.

And in case you haven't seen those yet, here are a bunch of videos from the Comic-Con Watchmen panel.

"Remember boys, flies spread disease, so keep yours closed!"

2008-07-24T14:10:18Z

I'm having my annual Band of Brothers rewatch at the moment, and I thought I might as well put together a little picspam. I think this one actually turned out quite nicely.

This picspam only focuses on some of the aspects I love about this show, namely on how visually stunning it can be at times, and also on the brilliant, brilliant ensemble cast.
Or at least part of it, because those aren't nearly all of them.

If you are in any way interested in watching the mini-series, you will discover everything else that makes it so amazing for yourselves. :)

I've mainly included scenes from Episode 4: Replacements, but there are also a few from Episode 5: Crossroads.

Episode 4: Replacements

Babe, Joe, Buck and George. :)

Yes, I like them a lot, why do you ask? XD

Intimidating the replacements, Bill is doing it right.

And Webster is randomly eavesdropping in a not so subtle way.

So that nobody can say I'm ignoring the James McAvoy fans on my f-list. ;)

Look who got promoted! :)

You'll learn to treasure the happy moments, believe me.

Bull is going all "older brother" on the little ones. :)

Remember what I said about "visually stunning"?

Hehe. <3

Excuse me, could I borrow this young man for a moment?

Perconte's facial expression? Priceless! XD

Looks like Nix is getting a bit... carried away. XD

Random thing I'm only noticing this time around #1342: Harry is quite small compared to the others. :)

Episode 5: Crossroads

Because I adore their friendship and that whole scene is adorkable:

Wake up, Nix!

Hmmmm, maybe this ominous yellow liquid will wake him up.

And indeed, it did. XD

Feel the wrath of Nix's pillow!

Pillow: *is wrathful*

Dorks. :D

A scene I didn't even intend to cap but then it sort of popped up and I had to:

I like the uniform. :)

I already randomly talked about this scene with subtle__sarcasm, so I had to include it:

Movie time:

*is one of those people who talk during movies. a lot.*

Shut up, Luz!

*is totally not shutting up*

Meanwhile Skip, Perconte and Malarkey are handling their finances.

Also not very quietly.

Shut. it. already.

*are totally not shutting up*

Yep, you guessed it. Still happily quoting and talking. XD

♥

Hehe. :D

But as always, the little happy moments don't last, and it's time to move out again.

So, that's it. I tried to keep the commentary down to a minimum during most of this, but I got a bit more ~~annoying~~ talkative during the second part. Sorry. ;)

The enabler strikes back!

2008-05-31T14:46:16Z

This post is dedicated to dexterette and her newfound love for Mr. Norton.
Welcome to the Dark Side! ;D

THE MAN HIMSELF

That picture kind of fascinates me. It's got quite a vivid quality, almost as if he'll open his eyes any minute.

One of my favourite scenes from "The Score", because GUH!

He's also a bit of a dork. XD

CLASHES OF AWESOMENESS

With Ralph Fiennes

With Kevin Spacey. Twice. ♥

FIGHT CLUB REVIVAL

MOST.AMAZING.CELEBRITY.COUPLE.EVER.
(No, I'm still not quite over the fact that they broke up.)

So much cuteness! :D

HOOKED. HOOKED AND DOOMED.

And last but not least, this was the movie that made innocent little me (yeah, right. ;D) fall in love with Ed Norton so many years ago: Primal Fear.
He was the first favourite actor I ever had, and these days he's still part of my group of seven all-time favourites who, in my eyes, are absolutely untouchable in their awesomeness.
Anyway, I JUST LOVE THIS MAN! :D

Lost mini-spam #3

2008-01-31T09:57:42Z

This is going to be the last mini-spam for now since my laptop decided to act up a bit, which means no more screencaps.
Well, at least it's a pretty one!

And as a bonus:

Liz Mitchell is such a goddess, words cannot express how much I worship that woman! :D
Seriously, why hasn't she got an Emmy yet?

As for my S3 rewatching, I've decided to narrow it down to some of my favourites, which means that I'll go watch "Flashes before your eyes", "Tricia Tanaka is dead", "Enter 77" (DUH!), "One of us", "The man behind the curtain", "Greatest Hits" as well as "Through the looking glass" now.

NEW LOST SOON-ISH! OMG! :D

Lost mini-spam #2

2008-01-30T13:17:28Z

And the ~~procrastinating~~ spamming continues!

"A small boy once asked me if I was a bad man. If I could answer him now I would tell him that when I was a young boy I killed a man to save my brother's life. I am not sorry for this, I am proud of this. I did not ask for the life that I was given but it was given none the less, and with it, I did my best."

Awww, I miss him! :(

Lost mini-spam #1

2008-01-30T07:26:46Z

Hm, LJ seems to be pretty dead at the moment, but I'll keep spamming anyway. :)
Rewatching Lost S3 has been fun so far, and that's why I've decided to do a couple of mini-picspams for some of my favourite characters.

So, let's get this thing started with everyone's favourite conman!

Trailer! Trailer! Trailer! ... Picspam!

2007-10-05T00:30:12Z

The trailer for SWEENEY TODD is finally here!
In short: Beautifully dark and visually stunning!

And, believe it or not, in between all the squealing and gasping I actually managed to take a whole bunch of screencaps, too. And the quality wasn't bad either, I might add.
(A lot better than the ones I just saw on ONTD.)

I swear that resizing and uploading these took forever, but it was SO worth it. :)

The original caps were quite a bit bigger, I've uploaded them in a ZIP-file for you guys:
>> Download Hi-Res Caps <<

Seriously, SO gorgeous! I really can't wait! :D

Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed teh pretty.
See you later, guys! ♥

DON'T CLICK, JUST LICK!

2007-05-23T23:35:41Z

Yeah, I know I'm late, but I had a lot of sleeping (and squee-ing! XD) to do yesterday and of course I had to go to university again today.
And it was practically unbearably hot outside today. *dies*
(Yes, as in Sylar-hot... Women do also think with their downstairs brain from time to time, don't we? XD)

This post is dedicated to the
DRUNK SYLARIAN FANGIRL SQUAD!!!

Yes, I spent a whole night on MSN with a couple of other Heroes fangirls, getting drunk (or staying sober) and waiting for the season finale.
Ladies, I salute each and everyone of you! You made my day/night, my week, maybe even my year. :)
I love you guys so much! *GROUPHUG* ♥♥♥

REFLECTIONS ON A NIGHT TO REMEMBER
(In which I am randomly trying to sum up a few highlights of our little meeting)

The first toast of the night:

TO HEROES!
to ZAAAAAAACH!
TO SYLAR! GOD OF SEX
HELL YES!!
*HICCUP*
TO SYLAR!
TO SASAN
(AND, QUITE RANDOMLY, TO NATHAN!!)
To Sylar, uniting insane people worldwide! Or just: YAY US!
TO BOOM!
AND ICE CREAM PORN!
AND SNOWGLOBES!
and shaving!
AND STRAIGHT RAZOR PORN
AND THE EVIL!BROWS
AND "MURDER."
And Mylar!
Seconded!
THIRDED
FOURTH-DED
AND THE NOSTRILS OF DOOM!
QUINTO-ED

And because lj interests are very limited,
The DRUNK SYLARIAN FANGIRL SQUAD OF AWESOMENESS
quickly became the
DRUNK SYLARIAN FANGIRL SQUAD!

Other than that:
- Kat saw FLASHES BEFORE HER EYES, which was quickly explained by Desmond being FRUNK (a mix between fraking and drunk)

- I was officially losing it because I repeatedly tried to open an OPEN bottle of wine

- We learned "How muuuuch is the fiiiish???!!!!!!!" (Right, Jules? ;D)

- And also that we're all nice, awesome, sentimental group-hugging drunks

- We also tried to take over the world - Anita decided to go for the Caribbean and its Pirates while I immediately took over Hawaii, and the Lost cast with it. Well, I gave away Sawyer, Charlie and Claire (not dark-haired Emo!Claire) in the end.

- Oh, and as far as Kat goes, any country was fine with her as long as it had Zach in it

- After that, her cat (THE POINTY ONE™) broke something expensive... the toaster!

- "Bumping into Viggo Mortensen" became "HUMPING Viggo Mortensen" (a story worthy to tell your grandchildren ;D)

- Oh yeah, and remember the occasional outbreak of JDM squee-ing? ;D

- Jules switched to DENGLISH from time to time, stating that "my photos all are überbelichtet"

- Of course the Drunk Squad also tried to solve the big mystery behind ZACH/ZACH/PUPPY and Mr. Quinto's special "guest"

- When the first spoilers appeared, THE SLOGAN WAS BORN! "I might lick, but I won't click!"

- Shortly after, we even got ourselves a Hymn! ABBA - "Gimme, Gimme, Gimme (A man after midnight)"

- New words were invented (BTRSILER = trailer), other fandoms were quoted (Curse your sudden and inevitable keyboard-smashing!), new pairings surfaced (Kat, remember Reid/Us/Sylar/Mohinder? ;D) and more than one Freudian slip occured (Good lick!)

- The night went by, and when morning had broken... "SERIOUSLY WTF SHUT UP BIRDS!"

And finally, they all came to the promised land, where the long-awaited torrent was shining in all its glory, and...
at about 4:20 am KAT'S INTERNET CRASHED!
But to save the day, she and Jules teamed up to form TEAM AWESOME, Kat fell over her pointy cat™, broke into her parents' apartment and got the damn internets up and running again! :D *plays superhero tune*

Then the great downloading began and, after that, the great watching...

Also, does anyone remember all of the songs we suggested for our
DRUNK SYLARIAN FANGIRL SQUAD HEROES FANMIX?

I think mine were:
"The Killing Moon" - Echo and the Bunnymen
"River Below" - Billy Talent

THE GLORIOUS HEROES SEASON FINALE SPAM OF AWESOMENESS
Heroes 1x23 - How to Stop an Exploding Man

I guess you'll have to do without my comments this time cause my brain is already kinda asleep. But I promised you guys this picspam and I certainly won't let you down.
As far as the episode goes, just take my word for it that I absolutely and utterly adored it.
I really hope that I succeeded in capping all of the best scenes although my hand was shaking like crazy. XD
And now just sit back and enjoy the pretty, the awesome and the pretty awesome! ;D

And a few of my personal highlights?

♥ Uhm... Sylar? ;)
♥ The Petrelli brothers, they made me cry
♥ THE MUSIC!
♥ "You look bad ass"
♥ Molly + Micah = CUTENESS OVERLOAD
♥ Nikki really becoming Nikki
♥ NOAH!!!! (Yes, I will probably write this name in capslock for the rest of my life! XD)
♥ Hiro's last "Yatta."

My mum informed me yesterday that Josh Holloway recently visited Munich.
ONLY ABOUT AN HOUR AWAY FROM WHERE I LIVE! No fair!
Apparently he was on some promotion trip and he seemed to enjoy the city. Good boy. XD
Oh, uminotori, you didn't happen to accidentally bump into him, right? ;)

Also, could Elizabeth Mitchell get any more adorable?!
Because I honestly don't think so. *squees*

WHERE MY LOSTIES AT?
As for the Lost Finale - I think I've reached the point where coherent thoughts fail me.
I'll definitely stay awake again because I probably won't be able to sleep anyway.
You'll get my reactions tomorrow as soon as I've seen the episode, but if it's going to be a picspam or just some incoherent rambling, who knows? XD

Lots of love to all of you! ♥

Jack Bauer has it, the Winchesters have it, now the fun comes to craphole island!

2007-05-12T19:18:22Z

Obviously I was very bored, so I decided to have a go at these.
Most of them are either based on the famous Chuck Norris facts or the Jack Bauer facts.

And if you have at least half as much fun as I had then I'm a happy fangirl! :D

LOST FACTS

Sayid has only one hand: the upper hand.

Mikhail’s calendar goes straight from March 31st to April 2nd, nobody fools Mikhail.

Desmond once visited the Virgin Islands. They are now The Islands.

The last man to make eye-contact with Sawyer was Ray Charles.

Ben puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".

There is no "I" in team but there are two "I"s in Mikhail. Fuck you, team!
(I really can't believe how perfect this one fits! XXD)

When Sawyer put on the One Ring, the Nazgûl just said "Fuck it."

Locke beat a wall at tennis. A fucking WALL.

When Mikhail goes to donate blood, he declines the syringe and instead asks for a handgun and a bucket.

There are only four horsemen of the apocalypse because Locke is going to walk.

When Mikhail deletes files from his computer he doesn’t send them to the Recycle Bin. He sends them to hell.

Sayid can slam revolving doors.

Sawyer never takes showers. Instead, whenever he’s dirty he points to himself and shouts "CLEAN!"

Mikhail had a little lamb who’s fleece was white as snow, and anywhere he went the lamb was sure to go. So he killed it.

If Ben wants some shade he stares the sun down until it eclipses.

Sayid is the reason why Waldo is hiding.

Locke is actually color-blind. Not because his eyes are defective but because the colors are afraid to show themselves.

Once, Sawyer sneezed so hard that he created the leap year.

Locke eats rocks and shits gunpowder.

Sayid can not be pitied. Sayid is most often envied, admired or feared. Once, he was even ignored. That fool has since been nothing but pitied.

Mikhail is the sole surviving Spartan of Thermopylae.

Desmond’s beard has its own thriving ecosystem.

4 out of 5 dentists recommend Sawyer. The 5th is on the FBI’s Missing Persons List.

Locke doesn’t put lights on his christmas tree. He just lights it on fire.

Zombies are people who cannot rest until they have been killed by Sawyer.

Time is either slowed down or sped up by three seconds, depending on which direction Jin made his last roundhouse kick.

Lucifer didn’t fall. Sayid pushed him.

Ben has to jump around in the shower to get wet because the water is afraid of him.

Jin single-handedly ended World War II with two roundhouse kicks. You might know them as atomic bombs.

Locke can eat your soul in a single bite.

Ben has the copyright to each of the many ways to kill a bunny.

It is said that time heals all wounds. Sayid destroyed time because he likes people to stay permanently wounded.

Yoda mouthed Mikhail. Mikhail smacked the force out of Yoda. Eventually, the force returned, Yoda’s voice and speech pattern however, never were the same.

An object at rest tends to stay at rest until it comes in contact with a roundhouse kick from Jin.

The title of the film Return of the King is actually a lie, Desmond doesn’t appear in the film at all.

The reason why humankind doesn’t know the meaning of life is because Mikhail hides it underneath his eyepatch.

There are two hands that can beat a royal flush. Sawyer's right hand and Sawyer's left hand.

Some people see the glass as half full. Others see it as half empty. Sayid sees the glass as a deadly weapon.

If Locke was in a room with Hitler, Stalin, and Mikhail, and he had a gun with 2 bullets, he'd shoot Mikhail twice.

Withholding information from Sayid is now classified as a suicide attempt.

Sawyer sleeps with a pillow under his gun.

The Black Eyed Peas were just The Peas until Locke heard their music.

Every mathematical inequality officially ends with "< Sayid".

When Desmond used Herbal Essences, the shampoo had an orgasm.

If Locke and MacGyver were locked in a room together, Locke would make a bomb out of MacGyver and get out.

Mikhail does not sleep. The only rest he needs is what he gets when he's knocked out or temporarily killed.

Sawyer doesn't eat honey, he chews bees.
