Yuletide Letter 2026

harukamiHello! Thank you for writing for me! In my letter I hope to generally ramble about the things I like, both generally and in these specific fandoms. I'll include some ideas that I'm personally eager to see explored, but don't feel bound to any of them -- they're more examples about the types of things I like, not me specifically requesting any given storyline!
GENERAL
In general, I like fics that involve romance (though I also enjoy gen so no problem if you'd rather write that!) Whether it's shippy or gen, the main thing is I'm super interested in what makes their dynamic work, how they really interact with each other.
Outside of romance (or in addition to it), I love 'casefic', ie, more adventures for the characters: 'episodes' of a show that never happened, or a new adventure. I'm also good on missing scenes, or on things that really explore some element of canon to focus on what that thing's all about. I started my time in fandom in the 90s so I have a deep nostalgia for certain styles of fic, like "five times x did y (and one time they didn't)" or things like that.
When I want fic, it's mostly because I feel like there's something canon didn't give me enough of, so I tend to want a deeper dig into that -- more shippiness, or more stories, or more time with them, or more views of things I didn't otherwise get to see with them, but that could in some way 'slot into' canon (even if we had to prune a bit off the end to make it fit).
These are not DNWs, but as a head's up, in most cases I'm not AS big on AUs or taking them fully out of their lives (i.e., I'm not a huge fan of flower shop, university, or coffee shop AUs) BUT I'm willing to suspend disbelief and be sold on anything. If your heart leads you in this way, I'll read it with oy anyway.
I'm always down for some smut but don't require it at all ever, any rating is fine. If you do decide to write more erotic content, I'm down for vanilla sex or something more spicy (bdsm, public sex, gloryholes, cumplay, tentacles or other weird/monstery parts, etc). Group stuff I'm generally down with but it honestly depends on whether it feels like the characters would be into that too, you know? (i.e., I can't imagine Booth not suffering from incredible social anxiety in a group sex situation, but I could see Uruu being into that and also being super weird about it).
Hard DNWs: Please no straight up non-con (dubcon at most, please), scat, or watersports.
Soft DNWs: I'm also not particularly into mpreg or most types of guro, so I'd rather you avoid this. If someone is queer and is not attracted to a specific gender (ie, not bi or pan), I'd also prefer no explicit sex scenes with someone of the gender they're not attracted to either, thank you. If you have an idea that you feel will Really Work that leans into one of these but not exactly (e.g.: parasitism that reads a bit mpreggy, au where they're zombies losing body parts, sex with a third party who they're not attracted to but are using a as a vector for their feelings) please feel free to reach out to the mods so they can ask me about exceptions here.
TREATS/GIFTS
I am completely open to treats/gifts -- if the spirit moves you, I'd be super grateful!

Below is the fandom-specific stuff from my sign-ups! As noted, I tend to list a bunch of examples of the type of things I was thinking of just to help show the sort of thing I like and am interested in for these fandoms, but these are just examples. You don't have to write any of them! PLEASE feel free to totally veer away from any of my suggestions, and only use them as a sign of the kind of thing I like!

Hello!! Thank you for being willing to write this tiny, weird fandom for me! Here are some things I'd love to see explored in fic:
So like, Uruu and Homura are trying to settle back to normal after the end of canon and continue gathering attachments, but the feelings between them have been acknowledged... what now? Or, what happens if the manga artist comes back looking to draw a love interest into the comic but doesn't want the romance to overtake the series? What about if Uruu gets punished for something with tentacles again and Homura has feelings about it? Maybe they could even... go on an actual date (they would definitely be weird about this)?
All of the above are just options that come to mind as things I'd like, but you're welcome to put your own spin on any of this and mix things up! I'm just hungry for some good food for this ship specifically.
And if you don't like to write shippy content, I'd still be happy with something more team focused! You're welcome to include the others who aren't in the tags, in this case, but in the same way that the episodes are mostly about an individual doing something and the others weighing in, I'd love it to lean on what Homura and/or Uruu are doing.

Ohhh I'm a little obsessed with these weird kappa whose love literally was not allowed to speak its name or one of them would literally explode, who were forced to do harm to each other and their own community by the capitalist otter forces, who died-and-were-allowed-to-reincarnate as their real selves. Really, characters of all time.
Some stuff I'm interested in seeing with them:
- What now? Like, literally, what now. How do they go about undoing some of the harm they had to do to their own community (in a show about innocent kinks and love that society won't recognized being turned into something dirty and scandalous until people can face the truth)? Do they do kappa stuff like the three boys had to? Are they actually just living now and how do they handle that?
- This show is very much in conversation with sailor moon season 1 (which Ikuhara wasn't the lead director for, unlike later seasons, but did direct a few episodes). Specifically, it's in conversation with Kunzite and Zoisite's relationship, and how in the manga they were servants of a prince, and that they had been turned evil/against their prince by an invading empire. The uniforms we see Mabu and Reo wear post 'reincarnation' are very similar to those worn by Kunzite and Zoisite. I don't have specific thoughts about this, but I'd be interested in this getting played with in some way if you also know Sailor Moon and feel like doing something with this fact.
Kyle Murchison Booth Stories
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat is the deal with Alexis Rigby? We have such hints and no strong evidence about... was it on purpose, that the other boy died and Alexis got his powers? How much regret does he live with? How does this parallel Booth's own curse with Blaine? What could the two of them have been to each other?
I'm fine with a ship, if you want to write one, or with some bizarrely close relationship in other ways or what have you. Does Alexis wake up? Does he not but his spirit gets free some other way? I'd also be fine just learning more about Alexis -- but the way he and Booth parallel each other is what's really interesting to me, and how they might navigate their respective traumas if they remained in each other's life.
If you do ship them, obviously there's a pretty big age gap, so if you'd prefer to age Alexis up in some way, I wouldn't be bothered about it. That said also, given how messed up these both are about other people (especially with regards to sexuality, though in different ways for both of them), I'd love if a ship about them leaned into ways they helped each other resolve trauma rather than going for something more toxic. Booth's curse and fear of touching others, Alexis's history with abuse at older mentors' hands, makes a ship interesting to explore with them, so I want it to be on the table. That said, this is a sort of vague DNW here, saying "I don't want it to read as abusive" since the age gap itself can read that way in many cases, but it's more like, if you can avoid it being manipulative on Booth's part or have Alexis be doing it to himself to get something out of it, that is probably a safe bet around it. I'll trust that I gave enough info here and if you're not sure, feel free to reach out to the mods to ask me! In general despite enjoying some kink in fiction, I'd prefer we avoid anything too kinky for them (even though we know Booth is into kink) because of both their Issues and not wanting it to read in that angle.
